"We aren't going to be able to get past the crowd!" I yell to them. I spread out my wings and throw off my glasses. I fly above the crowd and grab Rhys. I fly over Scout and Tuesday and they follow me from where I'm flying.
Rhys holds onto me for dear life as I hold his arms and fly him above the crowd. We finally make it through and see a wall of ice. I set Rhys down on the ground and land beside him. I stare at the wall if ice and look around at the stores.
"Well how are we going to get through that?" Scout asks irritated. I smile at her and walk into one of the stores. It's a convenience store of some sort and it's definitely convenient in this situation. I grab a lighter and a bottle of hair spray from the shelves and run back out.
I spray the hair spray and Tuesday puts the lighter in front of it. The hair spray catches on fire and burns through the ice. Rhys grabs a couple more bottles of hair spray and hands them to me when the other bottle runs out. I make sure my wings are far behind me so the feathers don't catch on fire.
The tunnel goes deep into the ice before opening up at the end of the mall. Leon and Wyatt stand there arguing about something. Scout takes her chance and runs up to Leon.
"What's your plan?" She yells as she barrels towards him. He moves away from her swiftly and smirks at her. I fly up to one of the balconies and sit there. Leon goes over to Scout and ruffles her hair. She tries to grab his arm but he moves away quickly.
"I would tell you my evil scheme but that would be dumb, now wouldn't it, " he replies. He turns away from her as she lunges towards him again. He smiles and leaves a slick layer of ice on the floor. I stand on top of the railing, ready to fly off if I need to.
I watch as Rhys pulls out his tazer and deploys it. He slips on the icy ground and it missed Wyatt by a few feet. Tuesday quietly sneaks up behind Wyatt as he moves closer to Rhys.
Tuesday then trips Wyatt and tries to handcuff him. He sets fire to her sleeve and she pulls back and tries to put it out. I fly down from my place on the balcony and grab Leon by the scruff of his shirt.
"What are you doing? Let go of me!" He demands. I lift him off the floor and dangle him from the top of the room. Wyatt sees this and whistles. A person runs in between them and teleports up to my height before grabbing Leon and teleporting him back down.
The person grabs Wyatt's hand and they disappear. I fly down to Scout and sit by her. Tuesday holds her ruined jacket in her hands and Rhys throws his tazer on the ground.
"Well that went according to plan," Tuesday remarks sarcastically. I stare out the window of the store and see police surrounding the outside. I grab Rhys' arm and point towards them. His eyes widen and we quietly get up off the floor.
Scout and Tuesday follow our lead and we walk back out through the tunnel. I pull them into one of the stores and we go into the back. Tuesday shushed us as she heard the police getting closer.
"Where could they have gone? There's ice covering this whole part of the building!" An officer exclaims. I look around the small office we're seated in and find a door. I grab Scout's arm and she takes a Bobby Lin from out of her pocket.
She unlocks the door and I point to my ear and look at Tuesday. She listens for a moment before nodding and we skip out from the outside. Police surround the entire building and there's no way around them. Tuesday points towards a rain pipe on the side of the building. I shake my head.
"It would be way to risky to be on the top of the building and they would see us climbing, " I whisper almost inaudible. She nods to me and looks around again.
"Hey you!" A police officer yells running up to us. We stand our ground and go with plan B. Rhys looks like he's about to like and so I give him a quick smile.
"What are you guys doing out here?" The officer asks us. He stops in front of me and eyes my wings cautiously.
"We we're in the food court eating and we heard screams so we ran. But we ran in the wrong direction and got closer to the villains. We hid in a store and my friend got us out with a bobby pin," I explain to the officer. Scout holds up her Bobby pin and he nods.
"We're getting you guys out of here. It's too dangerous," he tells us. I nod and let him lead us through the police tape. He waves to us and we wave back before walking to my car. We get in and I quickly drive off.
"So why didn't we just show them out badges?" Rhys asks. Scout smiles at him and ruffles his hair. Tuesday looks over at me and smiles. It's good to have another person coming with us to try and catch the villains.
"They wouldn't have taken it very nicely. Even though we're heros, we should stay undercover unless we absolutely can't," Scout tells him. He nods and stares out the window.
I pull up to the office and we get out. Willow walks out the back door rubbing her eyes. I smile and walk over to her. She looks up at me sheepishly.
"Have a good nap?" I ask her. She nods and yawns again. Considering the fact that it's been two hours since we left the office, she must have hit the snooze button more than a few times.
"Did I miss the mall incident?" She asks Scout. Scout nods and Willow groans. She walks to Scout's car and lets herself in. She sits in the passenger's side and watched us from inside the car.
"Good job today Rhys," I tell him. He smiles up at my proudly. He grabs his stuff from my car before walking to his car and driving off. Scout walks to her car and drives off, all while Willow glares at me.
I have to her as Scout turns the corner. She's gonna hate me for the next few hours. I turn to Tuesday and she has a somber look on her face. I walk up to her and she jumps back slightly.
"What's wrong?" I ask her. She sighs and plays with the bottom of her shirt. She looks around us.
"The officer that past by us when we were in the store... I think he knew about us," she told me. I smile and pat her head. She looks up at me confused.
"I know. He pointed towards us when we were getting out and said something about us being victims. He didn't suspect a thing dude," I tell her.
"Why didn't I hear that?" She asks baffled. I think back to that point and remember I told her to listen outside to see if anyone was waiting out there to catch the villains.
"We were in the middle of getting out. You were more focused on the people outside than the ones inside," I remind her. Her eyes light up and she smiles.
"Thanks Camdyn. See you later," she says. I have to her and get in my car. I drive back excited about the new information that the incident at the mall bring us.
