Chapter 2-Catching up

I woke up the next day with Gabriel sleeping next to me. I began to wiggle around and he woke up. "Why are you moving like that?" He asked, sleepily. "Why are you in my bed?" I asked. He said,"My bed got wet." "How?" He smirked. "I threw water on it." I laughed and got out of bed. "Okay. Get out. I want to get ready." I said. "For?" "The day." Gabriel groaned and dragged himself out of my bed.

I showered and put on decent clothes. I went downstairs to make myself breakfast.

"Where you going?" Gabriel asked, coming down in his work clothes. "Nowhere." "Then why are you dressed like that?" "I am going to stream." "You normally wear a hoodie and tights." Gabriel said, taking one of my toasts. I took it out of his hand and placed it back on my plate. "I felt like trying today." I said. Gabriel shrugged and said," Well, I'll see you later." He kissed me on my forehead before grabbing my plate of toast and running. "Hey!" I exclaimed. He laughed and I heard him close the front door. I shook my head and took out English Muffins.

While streaming, I got a message.

-Who is that?-
-Check!-

"Why do you guys want me to check? Don't you enjoy me busy talking to you guys?" I asked.

-Just check-
-Yeah-

I rolled my eyes and picked up my phone to check. "Oh. It's from Elijah." I said, opening the message.

-Who's Elijah?-

"Why are you guys so nosy today?" I asked while laughing.

-🤷-
-Who knows-

"He is an old friend from high school. I met him again yesterday." I explained.

Elijah: Hey Y/n. I was wondering if you would want to meet up and catch up.🙂

Me: Sure. I am just busy streaming rn.

Elijah: Oh sorry😶

Me: No it's fine. They wanted me to check who it was from anyway🙄😏

Elijah:🤣Chat later

Me:👍

I finished streaming and got my phone to talk to Elijah.

Me: Okay. I am done now. Where do you want to meet?

Elijah: Do you remember that park close to the candy shop?

Me: How could I forget?

Elijah:😏

Me: When do you want to meet?

Elijah: I am almost done editing a video. Ten minutes?

Me: Sure. See you there.

"I am gonna go now! Bye!" I yelled before closing the door and going to my car.

I arrived and sat at the bench where we always used to sit, along with a bag of candy that we shared.

Y/n came and smiled at me. "Hey Elijah." She said. "Hi." She sat next to me on the bench and seemed like the memories were coming back to her. "I missed sitting here." She said with a small smile on her face. I gave a smile back and we began catching up.

"You guys have a cat?" She exclaimed. "Yeah. Her name is Rudy." I said. "Cute."

"How has it been back in Massachusetts?"  I asked. "It's been great. It's awesome being back after 3 years." She said. "We went home to tell Amie that you were back and she was so excited. She said that you must come over one day so you two can go out. I don't know where. I am guessing the mall." I said. Y/n smiled. "How is Denis, Alex and Sub?" Y/n asked. "They great. They all have their own YouTube channels going." I said. "Really?" "Yeah. YouTube is working out for us weirdos." I laughed. Y/n laughed too. "Alex actually moved back to the UK and Denis went back to Canada." I stated. "And where is Sub?" "Sub...Sub is somewhere in the world." I said. Y/n frowned. I smirked at her.

There was a moment of silence and Y/n's phone went off. She gave me an apologetic look. "It's fine. You can answer." I said. She mouthed the
words," Thank you." and answered. "Hello Love...yes...of course.... until what time?....okay...okay...great...love you..bye!" She ended the call and
said," Sorry. Gabe called me to tell me he is working late." Love? "Are you two dating?" I asked. "Yes. Why?" Y/n asked. I felt embarrassment form inside of me. "No reason." I said. Y/n looked behind her and said," I'll be right back." I nodded and when she turned and began walking, I looked the other way and made a face. I most probably looked like Gru from the Despicable Me meme. I did not know they were dating. Forget about getting her back.

Y/n came back with a bag of candy. She placed it in the middle of the bench, just like she used to, and I smiled. "You remembered." I said. "I can't forget these things. They are just too important." She said. I smiled and took some candy out the back, Y/n sitting next to me again and us talking about random things.

I said bye to Y/n as she got into her car and she drove away, leaving me feel the happiest I have felt in a while. She said that I must bring Ethan and Amie over so we can hang out. I smiled at the car driving away before walking to my car and driving home, bobbing my head to the music.
