Chapter 3-Hanging out

Elijah p.o.v
I got home and Ethan was busy Fortnite dancing while following Amie. "Ethan! Stop!" Amie said. I laughed when I saw how annoyed she looked. She looked at me and gave me a death stare, Ethan still Fortnite dancing next to her. I made a funny scared face and she cracked a smile.

I was sitting in my office on the couch, busy looking at Tweets when Ethan came in. I lowered my phone and looked at him. "Taco Bell?" He asked. "Taco Bell." I said back, getting up and following him.

"Are you guys going for Taco Bell again? Don't you guys get sick of it?" Amie asked before we left. "I mean...it's pretty good..." I said. Amie said with her hands on her hips," You guys need to stop eating so much fast food." "OKAY MOM!" We heard Dylan yelling from the basement. We laughed and Amie rolled her eyes, smirking. "Fine. But I am serious." She said. "This will be our last one this week." Ethan said. "I am guessing that's the best it's going to get." Amie said.

"Wait, isn't it Sunday?" I asked Ethan when we got into his car. "Yeah." He smiled. "Wendy's tomorrow?" I asked. "Just to see what Amie says." Ethan laughed. "Yeah. But she is right.  We need to stop eating so much fast food." Ethan said as he drove. I nodded.

We sat down with our order and ate our food. "So, how was catching up with
Y/n?" Ethan asked. "How did you know? I didn't tell you." I asked. "You were happy to go outside and I knew it wasn't for Taco Bell because you don't get fast food alone." Ethan said. I smirked. "You know me so well." I said. Ethan looked proud.

Y/n p.o.v
I sat by a table with a cup of tea and a book that I took from the shelf. I took sips of my tea and but I didn't open the book. I was busy thinking about Gabe. It wasn't like,'Oh I am so in love with him. He is so adorable!' It was more of,'Why did he go work on a Sunday?'

Past 10, Gabriel came home and came to sit next to me on the couch. "How was work?" I asked. "It was good. Got a lot of things done today." He said. I smiled at him.

I laid  my head on his chest while we were watching a movie and he wrapped his arms around me. I laughed at a part in the movie and Gabriel smirked. He seemed unusual.

"Are you okay?" I asked when we walked upstairs after the movie ended. "Yeah. Why wouldn't I be?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. "Just asking. You seem off tonight." I said. "I suppose I am just tired." Gabriel said. "Maybe. Night." I said. He gave me a quick kiss before entering his room. I walked on to mine and got into bed before after putting on my PJ's.

One week later, Y/n and I have been hanging out a lot lately. Gabriel is normally working so she normally invites me over or vice versa. If we didn't want to sit at home, we would get our skateboards and skate around, telling jokes along the way and getting ice cream or whatever, just like we used too.
Memories would come back to me, reminding me about how we used to sit by a wall and talk after eating ice cream.

"Would you rather have a permanent splinter under your big toenail, or have a permanent bad haircut?" Y/n asked me. "Ooh...my hair...my toe...I have the bad haircut. Nothing that a cap won't fix." I said. "True." She said. "Would you rather slowly walk across red hot coals or put your hand on a hot iron for 10 seconds?" I asked. "Hot coals." Y/n said quickly. "Why did you say that so quickly?" I asked. "You didn't say barefoot. I'll put on heat resistant shoes." She said with a smug look on her face. I pushed her gently on the forehead and she laughed. "You and loop holes." I said. Y/n laughed.

"I am gonna beat you!" I exclaimed as I began dancing better. "I don't think so." Y/n said, doing the moves and catching up. She won...obviously. It was so weird yet so fun dancing with her, despite the weird moves.

We sat by her kitchen counter as she got glasses out. "What do you want to drink?" She asked, pouring herself some water. "I'll have water too." She nodded and poured me as well.

"-then we ended up busy smashing the giant candy." I said. Y/n smiled.

"How did you become a streamer?" I asked. "I just went on Twitch this one time when I was bored and I really felt that I want to become a Twitch streamer. Got my things and off I went. I actually quit my part time job because Twitch is supporting me really well." Y/n said. "Well done." I said.

"Well, I have to go." I said, looking at my phone's watch. "Woah. It is nine o' clock already?" Y/n exclaimed. "Time fly's by when you having fun."

"Bye!" Y/n said, waving to me as I drove away. I missed Y/n so much. I am so happy that we are friends again.

I closed the door and plopped down on the couch. Not long after, I got a message from Gabriel telling me he is on his way. I said okay and got his food ready, leaving it on the counter with a cover over it, along with a note:
=I know you've been working hard, take a break sometime...okay? Love you!=
I drew a heart on the paper and smiled.

I went to bed and fell asleep.

The next morning, I got up and showered before going downstairs. I walked past the kitchen counter to get cereal when I noticed Gabriel's food where I left it, untouched. So was the little note.

I went upstairs to see if he was still sleeping but the bed was still neat. I looked at the clock in his room, 8 in the morning.

Me: Gabe, where are you?

Me: I left you food last night and your bed is still made.

Gabe: I went to work early.

Me: Then why didn't you eat? I made your favourite😔

Gabe: Sorry Y/n. I ate already.

Me: Where? There  is not place to eat at your work and you don't eat fast food.

Gabe: I went to get something quick from the store.

Me: Oh...okay. Well, have a great day at work😘

Gabe: Thanks
