Chapter 9-Signs

Y/n p.o.v
I was busy jogging at eight in the morning when a car pulled up besides me. "Hey Y/n. How you doing?" Someone asked. I looked over while running and it was no surprise when I saw Gabriel. He changed a lot. He had a new haircut, he wore nicer clothes and he no longer had a British accent. I ignored him and continued to jog, him driving next to me. "Listen, I bought two tickets to a Beyoncé concert. Want to come?" He asked. "Take that side chick with you." I said, starting to run. He continued to drive besides me. "Okay, is Beyoncé not your type of music? I can get tickets to Logic if you want. If you listen to BTS I can get tickets. Ariana Grande? PrettyMuch? Sam Smith? C'mon Y/n, what concert do you want to go too?" He continued. "I want to go to the concert that you are no where to be seen. Leave me alone, would you?" I asked, stopping and looking at him. "You look cute in your running clothes." He said, stopping his car. "Stop, Gabriel. I don't want you back. I don't want anything to do with you." I said, raising my voice. "Or what? Your new boyfriend Elijah gonna beat me up?" He asked mockingly. "No. Besides, he's not my boyfriend you obnoxious pig. Leave me alone." I said, starting to sprint away, running towards the store that was a five minute walk away from where we were.

I ran into the store and saw Gabriel's car coming into the parking lot. I panicked and speed dialled a random number. The person picked up and said," Hey Y/n. How you doing?" "Amie! Uhh, I need you to pick me up by a store. I can't remember the name. I'll send you my location. Please come quickly." I said. "Okay. Of course! Why? What is wrong?" "I'll explain when you get here." I said. "Okay. Send me your location. I am almost by my car." Amie said, before hanging up. I sent her my location and walked around in the aisles, hoping to hide away from Gabriel.

I got a call from Amie and I ran out of the store, ignoring the looks I was getting. Amie's car was in front of the store and I jumped in. Amie looked worried when she asked,"What is going on?" as she drove out the parking lot. "Umm, I was going for my morning jog when Gabriel drove besides me. He kept on asking me out to concerts and when he didn't want to leave me alone, I ran to the nearest place, the store. I saw him busy following me then I called anyone to ask them to come get me." I said. "That creep. Where do you want me to take you?" Amie asked. "Home please." "No." "No? What do you mean?" "The first place that guy is going to check if he wants to find you is your house. I am gonna take you to my house. You can go home later." Amie said, sternly. I knew there was no point in objecting so I nodded as Amie drove.

Ethan p.o.v
I heard the door open and heard two people laughing. I went inside to see who it was. "Oh! Hey Y/n. Didn't expect you to come by." I said, surprised. "Me neither." She said. I raised an eyebrow and Amie said,"Gabriel was being a creep. She called me to pick her up at the store because Gabriel was bugging her while she was jogging." I rolled my eyes and said," Why doesn't he leave you alone?" Y/n's eyes rolled too and shrugged all of us turning to see Elijah jumping down the stairs wearing a Christmas hat. "Hey! Look what I found while cleaning my room." He said. "Wow. It's a Christmas hat." I said. Elijah laughed and looked up, seeing Y/n. "Oh. Hi Y/n. Nice to see you." He said. Y/n waved and Amie
asked," Didn't you go over to her house two days ago?" "I am being polite Amie." Elijah said. Amie smirked and we went over to the kitchen and sat there, talking about random things again.

At seven, Y/n said that she needs to go and we all greeted her and Amie took her home.

"Ethan. You know about how I feel about Y/n, so...how do I ask her out? I mean, I don't want to ask her and it is too early for her." Elijah asked, following me to my room. "See, that is where I cannot help a lot with. All you must do is see of she is giving you signs, and when you ready, ask her out." I said, looking at him. What signs?" "Um..her cheeks. Look if they red when she's around you. Obviously not with blush on. Honestly, I don't think you need anymore signs. Y/n freaking adores you. Why do you think she doesn't mind you coming over almost every day? Why do you think she is so happy around you? Why do you think, when we all go out as friends, Y/n is not far behind when you are talking to another girl?" I asked him. Elijah looked shocked. "She's been giving me signs the whole time?" He asked. "Without you even knowing. And Amie has told me that she does seem quite shy when she mentions your name." I smirked. Elijah smiled. "When must I ask her?" He asked. I laughed and said,"When you ready."

Elijah p.o.v
The next day, I got up and got into the shower. I got dressed and got a call from Y/n. "Hey Y/n. How you doing?" I asked, sitting on my bed. "Great. You?" "I am fine. What you need?" I asked. "Nothing. I was wondering if you would like to go to the Blue Hill café." Y/n asked. "I would love too." Y/n gave a soft laugh. "Great. What time are you available?" She asked. "Whole day." "Okay. How about ten?" Y/n asked. "Sounds good. See you at ten." I said, smiling. "Bye!" Y/n said, ending the call. I shook my head and smiled as I left my room.
