Chapter 10-Hurt eyes

Elijah p.o.v
I left the house and got into my car to go meet Y/n at the café.

I got there and saw her sitting by a table, stirring her coffee. She saw me and she smiled. Gosh darn that smile.

"Elijah! I am glad you could come." She said as I sat down. "I am glad I am here." I said. Y/n gave a soft laugh and her eyes were bright.

"Listen. I was invited to go for an interview in Boston, and since you have gone to Boston more than once for Pax East, I was wondering if you would like to come with me. So that I don't have to go alone." Y/n said after sipping her coffee. "I would love to go with you. When must you go?" I asked. "Only next week Friday, but I wanted to tell you in advance." She said. I drank my drink and asked," So, what interview is this?" "A gaming interview." "Obviously." I smirked. "What is that supposed to mean?" Y/n asked, hitting my arm softly. "Nothing...nothing." I said. Y/n laughed softly and finished her drink. "Are you done?" She asked. "Almost. Why?" "Because I want to go get new clothes for the interview. I want to take you with." She said. "Why do you want to take me with? And why do you want to go shopping now? It is only next week." I asked, finishing the last of my coffee. Y/n rolled her eyes and said,"Just come with." I laughed. "Fine." I said.

We paid and walked out the café. I was looking at the ground when I bumped into someone. "Oh Elijah. Great to see you." A familiar voice said. I looked up and saw Gabriel grinning at me. Y/n was already at her car, busy opening her car when she saw him. "Oh...hey Gabriel...how you doing?" I asked, trying to walk away to my car. "I am doing just fine." He said, following me to my car.
Y/n watched from her car and was ready to storm at Gabriel. I used my hands to tell her there was no need for that and Gabriel saw her. "Oh look! It's Miss L/n! Haven't seen her in ages either." He said. "You saw her yesterday, you creep." I said, rolling my eyes.

I felt a shove and nearly fell down. "HEY!" I heard Y/n yell from her car. Gabriel walked towards her. "What you going to do about it Y/n? Defend this fool?" He asked as he walked closer. I walked over to Y/n and she said,"I would defend Elijah any day! I can trust him." Gabriel looked at me and gave me a look saying,"I am gonna end it all." "Oh. So, you trust the man that knew about me cheating and never told you. Is that the man you trusting?" He asked.

Y/n looked at me with disbelieve. "What? I never knew. You talking sh-" I began. "Just...shut up. I don't want to talk to either of you." Y/n said. Gabriel gave me a satisfied look and walked off. "Y/n please. Do you really believe him?" I asked, standing in front of her. She looked at me with hurt eyes. "I um...have to um...stream." She said, getting into her car. My heart dropped because I knew that was not what she was going to do. She only began to stream at seven at night. "Y/n please!" I said, trying hard not to cry. She looked the other way and pulled out of the parking lot, leaving me standing there alone.

"Hey Elijah! What's wrong?" Ethan asked when I came back. I looked at him and walked to my room. He followed me to my room and saw me flop on my bed. He sat next to me and I burst into tears. "Ethan! She's gone! There is no chance for me now! I am going to die alone!" I cried. Ethan got a fright and pulled me into a hug. "What happened?" He asked. "Gabriel. He screwed everything up!" I cried. Amie came in with a concerned look on her face. Ethan used his facial expressions to say that she could go and she left.

"He told her that you knew about him cheating?" Ethan asked. "Yeah. I don't blame her for not knowing what to do. But it hurts. So much." I said. Ethan gave me a quick hug. "Don't worry. You will be fine. Just, fix this as soon as possible. You don't want to wait to long." He said. I nodded and he left me.

Me:Y/n. Please answer my calls.

Me: I need to talk to you.

Me:Don't ignore me...please.

When I saw her read my messages and not reply, I felt hopeless. I hope Gabriel is happy. He ruined Y/n's life and my life.

I laid in bed that night, and stared at my ceiling. I smiled when I remembered how Y/n laughed. So warm and angelic. Those thoughts faded and I felt cold, hugging the blanket in order to get warm. I felt alone and it took a while for me too sleep.

Ethan p.o.v
Elijah came downstairs the next morning, with tired eyes and looked really unhappy. "Hey Elijah. I made breakfast." I said. "I am not hungry." He mumbled. "You sure?" "Yeah. I am uh...going to go on my phone." He said, walking upstairs slowly. "Poor guy. He really liked her, didn't he?" Amie said, coming in with a cup of coffee. I nodded, sighing as I took a plate of food.

Y/n p.o.v
I sat on my couch, feeling the same way I did after Gabriel cheated on me, but it felt worse somehow. My phone rang and when I saw it was Elijah, I let it ring.

I went into my kitchen and when I saw there was nothing interesting to eat, I went upstairs to get dressed and left to go to the store.

Elijah p.o.v
When Y/n didn't answer, I felt frustrated. "I'll be back." I said as I went to the front door. "Where you going?" Ethan asked. "To make things right."

I knocked on Y/n's door and heard something make noises on the floor. It sounded it one of Y/n's jackets. 'She must be sitting in front of the door.' I thought.

"Hey Y/n. I uh, decided to come over and sort everything out, since you didn't answer any of my texts or calls." I began.

I took a deep breath and said,"Y/n. The first day I met you, I felt something. I thought I was being a stupid teenager that was catching feelings to quickly but, later that year, I found out, I did have feelings for you. Y/n, those three years that you were gone, I missed you. With all my heart. When you came back, I was so happy. The happiest I have been in three years. After Gabriel, my feelings for you just got stronger. I didn't know what to do. Ask you out and risk rushing you, or don't ask you out, and risk losing you. Y/n, I never knew about Gabriel cheating. He was being an idiot. I can promise you, if I did know, I would tell you. I could go on forever but, I just want to say, I love you Y/n. To the moon and back. Don't forget that." I said, leaning my head against the door. I listened for anything and heard nothing.

"Elijah? What are you doing in front of my door?" I heard Y/n ask. I turned around and saw her standing there, shopping bags in her hands. I turned red. "I think I just confessed my feelings for you, to your jacket." I said. Y/n looked at me and dropped the bags. "You...you confessed your feelings for me?" She asked. "Ye-" I began, being cut off by Y/n rushing to hug me. "You not mad at me?" I asked, hugging her back tightly. "No. Gabriel called me and told me that he made everything up." Y/n said, still hugging me. I felt relieved and said,"I love you Y/n." "I love you too." She said. I closed my eyes and most probably had the biggest smile on my face.
