Chapter 19-Promise

Elijah p.o.v
A month has past since I have moved in with Y/n and it has been the best time of my life. We have gotten closer and it's amazing.

I was sitting on my bed when I got a message from Ethan.

Ethan: Elijah, can I talk you? You're not busy with Y/n at the moment, are you?

Me: No. She's busy streaming.

Me: What do you want to talk about?🙂

Ethan: Amie and I had a fight. A major fight, it ended up with me spending the night at our parents.😔

Me: What? What happened?😮

Ethan: I need to call you for that. It's gonna be a long one.

Me: Of course, Ethan.

Y/n p.o.v
I was playing Overwatch when my phone went crazy besides me and I had to stop playing for a moment. "Sorry guys. I forgot to put my phone on silent...um, I have to cut this stream short unfortunately. Sorry about this. I'll see you next time. Bye!" I said, waving at the camera then ended my stream.

I immediately called Amie after I read her messages and she answered, crying as she spoke. "Woah, Amie! Calm down! I can't understand you. Take deep breaths." I said and I heard her take deep breaths on the other side of the phone. "What happened?" I asked once she had calmed down. "Ethan and I had a fight. A really big fight and he went to stay by his parents for the night! I feel as if it's my fault for some reason and I don't know why!" Amie cried and I felt my heart break for her part. "Why were you two fighting?" I asked with a comforting voice. "I-I asked if I could borrow his phone for a minute while mine was charging and he got really worked up about it. Like really worked up about it
Y/n. I didn't understand why he was this way and when I asked why, he started yelling at me. I yelled back and he stormed out the house. His mom was really kind to tell me that he was at their house. Y/n, why do I feel like this is my fault? Is- is he doing what Gabriel did to you?" Amie asked and I remembered how I felt after Gabriel had cheated on me. "Oh Amie, Ethan would never cheat on! He's crazy about you!" I said and heard Amie sniffle. "He is?" She asked sadly. "Yes! If I had to count how much times I have heard him talk about you to Elijah or me, I would say it's impossible!" I said and heard Amie sound slightly more cheerful. "Really?" She asked. "Yes! He was most probably stressed with YouTube, that is all, and he didn't know how to let go of it." I said and Amie said,"Are you sure?" "I'll tell Elijah to talk to Ethan and I am 100% sure that he was angry or stressed and he took it out on you unintentionally. Ethan is too smart to cheat on you. He wouldn't let someone like you go." I said and Amie said,"Really?" "Yes! Of course! Gabriel was an idiot. That is why he cheated on me. Ethan is not an idiot." I said and Amie sounded way happier. "Thank you Y/n! I am so glad that you are back in my life!" Amie said and I smiled. "Your welcome Amie. Have a good nights rest, okay?" I said and Amie said,"I will now, good night Y/n." "Night Amie." I said and hung up, Elijah walking into my bedroom right after. "Did you hear what happened between Ethan and Amie?" He asked as he flopped onto my bed. "Yeah. I just cheered Amie up." I said and got out of my gaming chair. I sat besides him and he put his arms around me. "He's driving back home to her right now. He feels terrible." Elijah said, resting his head on top of mine. "Amie was scared that he was cheating on her. Gabriel made her realize that cheating is an actual thing in the world. I had to convince her that Ethan would not do anything like that." I said and Elijah sighed. "Is something wrong?" I asked. "Promise me that we won't have fights like that. Please." Elijah said and I nodded. "I promise. It sounds horrible to be in that situation." I said and turned to face Elijah. Elijah kissed me on my forehead and said,"That is why I am making you promise me not for us to fight like that." I gave him a small smile and pulled him into a hug. "And slap me if I am yelling at you. I will know why you slapped me and will stop immediately." Elijah said and I looked up at me. "Don't you think that is a little to much?" I asked. "Not at all." He said and kissed my lips. I kissed back at asked,"Want cake? I made cake." "Sure." Elijah said and smiled as he took me downstairs while holding my hand.

We sat outside with our slices of cake and listened to the crickets. "They sound so nice outside, yet so irrating in the house." Elijah said. "You've had a cricket in your house?" I asked. Elijah nodded and said,"Once, in my bedroom. I am not sure how to got in there, but it kept me up until I found it and set it free." I chuckled and said,"Me too." Elijah smiled and looked up at the night sky. "I am glad that Amie and Ethan are alright now." He said and I nodded as I ate my cake. "It would have been terrible if that fight was any longer." I said and Elijah nodded. "But Ethan really loves Amie, he won't let a fight break them apart." He said. "Definitely not. I won't let that happen either! They are far too cute together." I said and Elijah said,"They are really cute. I never understood why they were the way they were with each other, but I understand now and it's amazing how you understand people once you have a similar experience." I nodded and said,"I won't let a stupid fight separate us either. You won't get out that easy." Elijah laughed and said,"Wouldn't dream of it." I smiled and he said,"Thank you for the cake." "Want more?" "Of course!" Elijah said and I laughed. "Come on then." I said and he followed me back inside.
