Who made you this person you are today?

Contemplating your growth was effortless
I couldn't understand how time could've flew so fast.
It feels like it was yesterday we met.
It seems so unreal the way it was.

Making plans for a brighter future
Skipping classes to work harder
Spending less to save more
Sleepless nights for a better day

So much effort for a quick goodbye.
So much energy spend for a quick money drain
Why is it always me?
Why does it always happen to me?

I guess watching you grow was my goal
To see and teach myself a lesson
To see so i can be better than i was before
Breaking rules that was never aplicable to me, you know

They say everything happens for a reason, but...

We never made an effort to come to a closure
We never thought that time can tore us apart
We never understood why we had to depart
But now what do i have of you is a photo of us in the dark.

You might had the scale but I'm the weight
You might had the talent but I'm the brain
You might think i miss you but i made you
It might be over but I'll always remind you who you are.
