"But I don't know what to do nurse..." I replied hesitantly as to avoid doing the procedure myself. However, I can tell that the nurse does not buy my bullshit of an excuse.

"You can call me Lisa dear. Oh, and I know that you definitely know what to do so just stop the acting and start doing it or you will not like what the consequences are." Lisa said condescendingly. I gulped and walked towards the chair and looked to the girl. This is not the kind of job I was expecting to do in order to save people. 'I'm really sorry' I mouthed to the girl before I slowly reached for the knob on the device placed beside the electric chair.

I turned the knob reluctantly, causing the rate of electricity to gradually increase. This obviously made the process even more torturous for the girl. As soon as the knob was turned to 3 on the device, the girl screamed so loudly that I accidentally turned the knob to the maximum. Her screams were so deafening and painful that it shattered my heart to see her in this state. I had no choice! I wanted to shout out loud. However, I knew it wasn't the wisest decision to do that.

In order to ensure that Lisa wouldn't suspect my hesitation in maintaining the process and possibly report me for not doing my job right, I had to endure the girl's screams a little longer. After a while, I immediately stop the machine and saw the girl relaxed onto the chair to breathe a sigh of relief. 

*clap!* *clap!* *clap!* *clap!*

'Well done Emily! You have proved to me that you are ready for this job. You can go back to your room now while I handle some other matters...' Lisa praised while having an unknown glint in her eyes. She then made a "shoo-ing" motion towards me and I hurried away reluctantly.
