Walking the now empty halls of the school, searching for the exit, he found himself outside Ji Ah's history classroom.

He noticed that he forgot his keys. Sangjun was in such a hurry so he must have forgotten them in his desk. His sloppy steps and hunched back was a sight that no one should see. He walked up the stairs, now on the third floor.

Suddenly, he got that hint of energy and determination to run up the next ones. Sangjun backed up a few steps, then dashing up the next flight of stairs, now finding himself on the fourth and final floor. Hunching down, he violently exhaled and inhaled like never before.

One hand on his knees, the other holding the stairway railing. It took a while to catch his breath, so he stood up and groaned in annoyance.

- I should really eat more. He said with his eyes shut tight, head looking towards the ceiling after lifting himself up.

After the short break, he was on his feet again and continued to stroll the halls and eventually reaching the desired one.

His classroom happened to be the only one without windows and in the end of the hallway.

His lesson ended later than most ones so the sun was already setting. No worries, though. He had no time to look after and no one to wait for him when he gets home after all.

It was quiet, but it didn't matter because the sun from the windows between the lockers shines visible beams through the glass.

The wooden floor creaked as he walked and dragged his hand over the red walls. It truly felt like he was in a book, a story written on an autumn day in the late eighties.

On a bench in a park, watching the brown leaves slowly fall down from the trees. A cup of tea to accompany him perhaps. A blanket to warm you. That's how it felt for Sangjun when he walked through that long, wooden, cozy hallway.

Even though some curtains were closed off, the light still seeped through. The light had always found a way to light up his personal dark corridors. His steps echoed as he finally reached the classroom.

It was unlocked, and open at that. Almost inviting, almost as if someone was saying "take a seat and let's talk for a while".

He took a deep breath out of comfort and entered the classroom. Sangjun didn't take many more before he saw a girl sitting on his desk, playing with his keys.

He was about to open his mouth and say something but that's also when he noticed that she was smiling. The girl seemed very calm and happy, gazing at his glimmering keys.

- Excuse me, miss. He slightly uttered nervously.

The girl quickly turned to him in shock, she must've been startled. But there was something about her, something that captured his heart.

- I knew you would come! Ji Ah said happily with tears in her eyes and a smile accelerating the same kind of warmth as that previous corridor had.

Something woke up in Sangjun at that moment.

- Ji Ah! I got your letter! Sangjun shouted to her and almost tearing up.

He let his backpack quickly slide down his shoulder and into his right hand. He then threw it aside to run up to her.

Ji Ah barely got to stand up before he instantly hugged her tightly. She fell backwards towards another desk but he catches her. Both laughing desperately and hugging each other.

- Are you with me, Kim? She asked quietly, referencing when they first met, that time when he didn't tell her his name.

- I'm with you... I'm with you, Min. Let's escape this false reality and make one for our own. He cried while hugging Ji Ah tighter. Pulling her head close to his shoulder while embracing her.

They began to slowly let go of each other and understanding the situation.

- How did you know I was going this way? Sangjun asked, wiping his eyes.

- I was planning to meet out outside of your classroom, but you weren't there. I even got the teacher to end earlier than usual in order to get here in time! My luck isn't completely out though, you dropped your keys here so I knew that you would get them back sooner or later!

He looked at her as if she was crazy but laughed at the irony.

- I thought the same thing! I rushed to your classroom too, but noticed that I forgot my keys!

They both laughed and exited the classroom. Talking a bit on the way, relieved that no one hated no one. The corridor suddenly didn't feel like autumn anymore.

It had become spring.

The spring that they both were waiting for.
