The golden sun falls through the windows
But your smile is cold as snow
It seems your summer on the surface
Hides a winter far below

MEGHAN
The bell rung making Meghan jerk upright. Shit had she fallen asleep? She looked down on the desk and cringed. Had she...drooled?
The little puddle on the desk looked back at her accusingly and she could almost imagine it saying "Yeah no shit Sherlock"
Great now she was having a conversation with drool puddles.
Flinching Meghan searched her bag for a napkin and cleaned it up. She was so sleepy.
She hadn't caught a wink of sleep last night. To add to that the cup full of caffeine that she drank after pulling all-nighters had betrayed her today. It was like the universe was collectively punishing her for spending the whole night thinking about what she had seen and fantasizing about what had happened before that. She touched her lips as if she could still feel his against hers. The way he held her tightly afterward like he didn't want to let her go, how his thumb drew invisible circles on the small of her back.
It gave her annoying fuzzy feelings that she refused to acknowledge as butterflies, maybe they are just like ...small larvae. Larvae that somehow crawl at a speed of hundred an hour. But still larvae Meghan reasoned with herself. And then she remembered the black bag and Damian fucking Caruthers and all the beautiful hyperactive larvae died a quick death.
Groaning she dragged herself out of the chair. At least the next period was Music. She knew exactly what was going to be discussed today and if she had even a grain of energy left in her she would've used it to express her over-the-top enthusiasm about the class.
She quickly grabbed her bag pack and made her way to the class. Sliding down to the corner seat in the third row she looked out the window. The sky was clear today, A beautiful shade of blue and other than a cloud that to her looked like a broken twisted vibrator, nothing held her attention. The chit chat around her made her less prone to sleep. She kept catching random snippets of conversation. Nothing interesting though. Putting her head down on the table she closed her eyes. Okay maybe if she stays like this for just a few minutes...As soon as her head hits the table the classroom goes silent. And Meghan jerked upright wondering if the teacher had seen her. But it wasn't the teacher who had entered the class. No, it was someone who she wasn't expecting to see here even though he did owe her an explanation. Meghan knew Michael had taken Music this semester switching it out for one of the classes that he was finding difficult to cope up with. But he never showed since the starting of the semester. Though it hasn't been much time since that, it was still surprising. A little stupid larva-voice told her that he could've come today just to see her. She squished that larva voice. Locked it in a chest imagined it being bound by a hundred heavy metal chains and pushed it into the 'things we don't acknowledge' corner of her mind. Meghan then tried the thing. You know the one you do when you're trying to telepathically send someone a message? Yeah, so she basically stared at his back until he turned to look at her. But weird thing.... it didn't work.
Meghan was about to call out to him when he turned to look at her and like she had many times before she almost lost her breath. Not that he was wearing something out of the ordinary just over the fact that it was him
..and he may or may not be here for you
What the hell larvae? We agreed not to talk about that.
