Summary: The trial for Wocky Kitaki begins, bringing back bad memories for defense attorney Apollo Justice. However, with Klavier's help, he is able to push these memories to the side and fight for the truth. During a break, Kristoph calls the short man, starting to send him back down the rabbit hole of hysterics but is able to keep himself composed with Trucy's help- who had been asked by Phoenix Wright to get Apollo's help in finding who hit him.
After the trial, Klavier goes to check on Apollo, only for the man to go in and out of flashbacks to the night two months ago as well as what is going on today. Klavier convinces Apollo to eventually take his anxiety medication and stays with him until the attorney cries himself to sleep. Enraged at being lied to by his brother, Klavier goes to the Gavin Law Offices to confront Kristoph. Kristoph manages to twist it as Apollo not liking to take his medication or physical contact. He lies to Kristoph, saying he'd back off of Apollo and reserves two tickets to his upcoming concert.

"Baby girl I need you to do a favor."

"What is it, Daddy?"

"Promise not to tell Miles but... I got hit by a car."

"What?! Are you okay daddy??"

"I'm fine, just got a sprained ankle. But I want to find out who did it."

"But you don't want me to tell Uncle Miles..."

"I need you to go to a certain address and ask for a certain someone to take the case."

"Huh? Who?"

"His name is Apollo Justice."

A single phone call was all it took for Apollo to go into hysterics. He had been going over the list of witnesses, more specifically Alita Tiala's testimony. There was something fishy about the way she was acting and he intended to get to the bottom of it.

Though the trial had been... Strange to say the least. And it wasn't because Wocky kept trying to say that he had shot the victim. It was because every time he even glanced at Prosecutor Gavin, he could only see his boss.

Apollo knew he was just overreacting again. Mr. Gavin wasn't even in the courthouse today. Not only that but he hadn't even talked to his employee that day. There was no reason for Apollo to see the prosecutor's older brother at every sideways glance.

As the trial continued to drag on, Apollo found himself getting lost in the feelings of defending. Slowly, he started to see less and less of the cold man and seeing more of the man who was actually in front of him. Prosecutor Gavin even seemed to get caught up in the feelings of the courtroom.

With every, "Objection" that was raised the other had a rebuttal. With every question raised one of them had an answer. Despite all of this rivalry, the taller man saw it when Apollo flinched when his fist hit the wall behind him and hit the wall with less force. Anytime Apollo reacted with a flinch, the older man would alter the way he acted so it didn't happen again.

They were currently in a recess, going over more details of the crime before reconvening. Suddenly his phone buzzed on the table. He looked down only for his blood to go cold at the caller ID flashing at him.

Mr. Gavin

The red-clad defense attorney snatched up the phone as quickly as his body would let him and answered it with a shakily, "Hello?"

"I trust the trial is going well?" the voice on the other side said.

"Y-yeah! I think I figured out who really did it! If I could just-"
