One thing Apollo was going grateful for was that the loud music was sure to louder than his thoughts.

He hadn't been sure about going to this concert in the first place. He wasn't the biggest fan of the Gavinner's rock, it tended to give him headaches at times. But when Trucy had brought up the idea though, he had to admit that it did sound fun if he went with Trucy.

Apollo was surprised that Mr. Gavin had given him the day off. Luckily his boss hadn't questioned him too badly about it. He'd been able to pass it off as his friend wanted to go out for his birthday.

Trucy had said that she'd meet up with him at the Sunshine Colosseum so Apollo was forced to get ready on his own. It took him longer than he wanted to admit to settle on a pair of dark jeans, his red vest, and a white t-shirt. He also decided to not worry about re-gelling his hair but did put on his hoodie. Just wearing it made him feel 10x better.

On the bike ride there his mind began to wonder what had happened the last few days.

After the verdict had been given, Mr. Gavin seemed to have been more lenient towards the younger defense attorney. He didn't have as much paperwork to file at the end of the day. There were times that Apollo had been let go early. Not only that, but whenever he made a mistake, there was no reaction from the older man other than reassurance.

Apollo would be lying if he didn't say it unnerved and relieved him at the same time. It set him on edge, worrying about what he was planning. What was going to happen next, what would happen to him when it came to light?

He hadn't even realized that he had gotten to the place until a shout snapped him out of his daze. He jerked his head up in time to see himself heading straight for the railing. He jammed his foot down on the brakes but knew it wouldn't do any good. Apollo closed his eyes tight and braced himself for the inevitable pain from the fall.

Hands grabbed his collar and yanked him off the bike. The action caused a small squeak to be torn from his throat. Apollo's eyes jolted open in time to see his red bike go tumbling over the edge. His mouth felt dry as he realized how hurt he could have been if he hadn't been pulled from his bike.

"Herr Forehead! Are you alright??" Prosecutor Gavin stood over him, face taut with concern. Apollo could only blink at him, still in shock from the whole thing. The rock god gave him a nervous smile.

"You know, if you didn't want to listen to my music you could've just told me." That finally snapped the defense attorney out of his stupor.

"You... You helped me," he said quietly. The prosecutor looked at him with one raised eyebrow.

"Ja, of course. Why wouldn't I?" Apollo inspected his face for any signs of discrepancy.

"What... What do you want from me?" No one ever did anything for free, there was always a price, always a-

"I'm not quite sure what you mean, Herr Forehead," he said with his eyebrows furrowed. "I didn't want to see you hurt. So I helped like a good person, ja?"

He didn't know what to say to that. The taller man sounded so sincere, so caring and worried, but there was a nagging in the back of his brain. The part of his brain that said that he was just hiding his intentions, that he was just waiting for the time to ask for a favor. The part of his brain that sounded suspiciously like Mr. Gavin.

"I'm taking you to my dressing room," he finally said. Apollo looked at him in shock. "You're in no shape to be wandering around the venue like ein kopfloses huhn. Not at least until your plus one comes, ja?"

Apollo didn't know what to say or feel. He just let his hand be taken and lead away. His mind was in a whirlwind of emotions and thoughts. Whenever he finally grasped at one firmly, it was ripped away the next second. Prosecutor Gavin had just helped him, but... didn't seem to want anything in return. He said he just wanted to help, to be a good person. It just... It didn't seem right, it didn't feel like it was real. He wanted nothing more than to believe that little voice in the back of his head, saying that it was all just a prank- a trick.
