Please say you've missed me cos I haven't written a poem in fucking ages and this took me not even 10 minutes to crank out and honestly poems are my happy pills and if it makes you guys better then HEY - drinks all round.

I love to look at the people on busses
Struggling with grades , jobs and divorces
I love to imagine their secret life
As they buy their ticket and avoid my eyes

I am the girl that sits on the bus with the music too loud
and who's wise not to trust
As the old ladies move away and the men shuffle past
As try to tell myself that it will not last

But there's kids my age too here
Struggling with love
Rushing out homework
Keeping their head held up

The guy at the back with his hair combed right over
Who's struggling with fast cars and his significant other
I imagine his Friday and how he cheated
And then how his wife had already beat him

But the moms are the best with the young kids
Who tap on their iPhones
Sending "kiss kiss"

I think it's the worst - this generation
I'm part of it too , though that's not celebration
There's no sitting and talking with strangers
It's all too creepy and filled with the dangers

Take us back to the time when busses
Were chances of friends and chances to meet others
