Kayla was sitting in a chair, once more in black. Beside her were her husband, and her only living child, Amelia. She sat there, waiting for her name to be called up
Her own chest ached as she resisted coughing when she needed to. Tears ran down her aged face. Her husband looked at her with great concern. "Are you alright?" He whispered to her as he held her hand.
"I am just fine." Kayla said.
"Mother, if there is anything I can do, please tell me." Amelia said, listening to what her father had said.
"I will be just fine." Kayla said, boldly lying to her family.
Her doctor had done some tests. When she had gone in a week ago, the doctor had told her that she only had about another two weeks to live, or less. Her heart had been over stressed, and was in poor condition. Just like her mother, Kayla was going to die from a heart disease caused by stress and old age.
She sat there, waiting for her name. Her mind went through her childhood, and how she would change the speech. She thought about the day her sisters were killed, the day her parents got into a fight, her first met with Matthew. She thought of it all, remembering both the good and the bad.
