I took a piece out and put it in my pocket then stuffed the rest of it in my trunk along with everything else. I smiled at Lily then walked out of the room. I needed to find a nice place to transform, I wanted to check out the forest and to do that I shouldn't probably be looking like myself when I did so in case I was caught. As I was headed to the forest, I could've sworn I saw James, Peter, Remus and Sirius by the forest too, but I blinked and realized I just saw some wild animals. I slipped in and threw the meat on the floor and transformed, I started growing yellowish fur, claws, and fangs and in seconds I was a gorgeous leopardess I still had my crescent moon shaped birthmark on my shoulder. I picked up the meat and ate it and stalked around the forest for a while. I saw some fairies and even a centaur, but no one seemed to notice me. I ran around trying to map out parts of the forest in my head, I was so much faster as a leopard than a human and almost all my senses were enhanced. I came back to the forest edge and made sure no one was looking then transformed back. I slipped into the castle and into my bed careful not to wake up lily.

The next morning my Head of House Mcgonagall brought me up to Dumbledore's office. I knocked on the door and it opened. I stepped inside and was greeted by Dumbledore.

"Ah Ms. Lestrange you made it"

"it's Crescent" I said stiffly. I hated being referred to by my last name.

"Of course right anyways I was wanting to talk to you about your classes. Normally students take their O.W.L.s in year 5 and I see that your parents sent me some samples of writing from you. Have you never actually practiced any spells."

"I don't have a wand but I could try some of them,"

Dumbledore looked at me, "whatever do you mean?"

"well when I was held back from school I did my own studying. I'm fairly certain I'd pass at least Charms, Transfigurations, History of Magic, and Defense Against the Dark Arts, Astronomy and, Caring for Magical Creatures as well as any other sixth year"

"what about Herbology and Potions"

I mumbled a swear under my breath then said, "I'm not very good at those because you can't be good at them from simply reading a book"

"I see."

"Yeah"

"I think I have a solution that would work"

"I will let you join the advanced classes in the subjects you feel strong in. In herbology and potions however I will have to assign you a tutor" I nodded

"Okay thank you Dumbledore"

"Are there any electives you would like?"

"Just Care of Magical Creatures"

"very well then off you go" I started to walk out.

"Oh and one last thing. How could you have practiced charms and transfigurations if you just got a wand before coming to Hogwarts?" He gave me a sly grin and ushered me out the door. I went back to Gryffindor Tower grabbed a few books then headed to herbology class. I was given Mary as my tutor. After all my classes I plopped down onto my bed pulling books out of my trunk. I skimmed through a couple at a time practicing charms I saw in the books. "Depulso Book" My book flew away from me and onto Lily's bed. "Accio Book" It came right back. It got late and I was still studying while the others slept. I was already really good at the silencing charm. I'd go on my balcony and practice on the Ravens on our oak tree. Then I kept trying it out on Honey with her own wand. I was also really good at the freezing spell as it was the only thing keeping the raw meat I had from spoiling. "Accio meat" a piece flew into my hand and I ran out of the dorm and out of the school.
