Matt has heard from Jules that Elena and Elijah are getting married. He was happy for Elena. And he knew Elena well enough that Elijah had must have apologized for saying that he didn't want him in the baby's life. But Jules couldn't believe it. She couldn't get her head around it. "But dad. - what if?" Jules started. "Elena. - she's a smart woman. - she won't let Elijah do that. - she was prepared on not being with him again over what he said. - so he must have come to his senses and apologized for saying it." Matt paused. "Don't try and break them up Jules." Matt warned. Jules turned on her heels and walked away. Matt sat down on the couch. Shook his head.

When they got home they found Matt there. "Just came here. - to wish you both a congratulations on your engagement. - I wish you both the world of happiness." Matt was about to leave. Elijah grabbed his arm. "I wanted to say. - I'm sorry for saying I wanting to cut you out of the baby's life. - I am deeply ashamed of it. - and I look forward to seeing the both of you as amazing parents." Elijah spoke. "It's okay. - thank you. - you will be amazing stepfather. - I be get going. - got a case." And Matt left. Elena cuddled into Elijah.
Elijah was blissfully happy. He couldn't believe his luck. When Elena said yes. But what Elena didn't know was that Elijah has a secret. He wanted to tell her. But he didn't know how to. It could end them for good. And he doesn't want that.

"In the last six months. - I went to Vegas." Elijah paused. Elena was listening intently. "I went with a woman that called Camille. - we were drunk. - and we got married. - I've been trying to get out of the marriage. - but Camille isn't budging." Elijah now spoke.
