First day in life
Faith's head is on my chest. My hands are around her waist. I am breathing in her flowery scent. I feel her breathing softly, fast asleep. I feel warmth creeping up into my veins. I can't believe that Faith is right here. But, she is! This beautiful, pure and sensitive yet strong woman is my wife. She accepted me flaws and all. I love her! it's all I know and I feel it deep into my soul.
"Mom! Dad! I am home." My 14 years old son shouts.
Hearing him saying dad, and having Faith right here by my side is all I need in this life.
"Is Dave home?" Faith murmurs
"Yes, Angle" I whisper into her hair
"Ready for dinner?" she asks as she gets out of the bed fastening her robe around her body.
"Yes! I am" I scream
She laughs and then goes back to plant a kiss on my lips.
"I love you Joseph" she whispers, her lips moving over mine.
"I love you Angle" I whisper back
This is happiness! Faith is here safe and loved! Faith is saved; but not by me for she has saved herself. She has proved that she is stronger than life itself.
