Alien

*Faith is seated before me but I can't touch her. She is looking at me with her deep brown eyes, fear and happiness are evident in them. Her lips are moving but the sound is muffled, her words are lost in the space between us. My arms are stretched before me but I can't reach her; too close yet too faraway. I know she is calling my name but I am falling in the void and life is sucked out of me*

A strong hand pull me out of my dream. Cold sweet is covering my whole body and I can't shake the this feeling of dread and hopelessness.

"Alien! Cat is here and she wants to talk to you" one of men tell me.

I move slowly out of the bed and my head still swimming in between the dream and the reality.

"What?" I implore.

"Cat is here and she wants to talk to you."

"This early!" I say as wash my face.

"Said she has news."

Finally! I walk back into the room and I throw a jacket on, the weather in New York is fucking freezing. I can't believe that at last, I am going to hear news from the other half of the country. It's been 6 months since I left California. I can't bring myself to think what could have happened to Faith; what she had to endure for the last 6 months.

"Where is she?" I ask Martin, who is looking at expectantly.

"In the Barton's bar" he says as we walk outside my appartement.

I walk down to the next block as quick as my feet could manage. My heart is pounding in my ears and, I can't see beyond my steps. This time I have to be prepared and to have to have a solid plan. The son of a bitch has to go down. Jason has to do die and Faith should be saved.

I push the bar's door with both hands.I walk straight to the bar where Cat is sitting.

"Whisky! Neat." I tell the barman, "Tell me what you got Cat and you better be accurate."

Cat is a woman of wonder, her eyes are as peculiar as an ocean; you can't tell what she is feeling. No one knows who she is or anything about her past. She is just Cat; the one you go to when you need information.

"Pretty accurate!" she says sipping on her beer, " I even have pictures".

"Can't you just say more?!" I say through my teeth as the barman places my order before me. I just grab the cup and drink it all in one shot, "More!" I order clacking the cup on the marble.

"Easy Alien!" She says calmly, "The girl is fine ... pretty fine if you ask me! Here" She says as she places the pictures between us on the marble surface.

I am looking at them but I can't understand what I am seeing. My mind is drilling over different scenarios and possibilities, but non of them can explain what I am seeing. My senses are shutting down and I feel like someone has gutted me alive. She is smiling, happy and delighted. Her hands are around him. His face is covered with her hair, resting his cheek on the hallow space of her neck. Her eyes are stoic but she is smiling. Why can't I breathe?!

I slam the stool to the ground and walk out of the bar. I am ragging but my rage is trapped inside me. I want to burn the city down. This pain is too much! She can't be happy! She can't be Faith! That's not her and that's not the woman I am in love with.

"Alien! Are you okay man?"

Martin's voice seems distant and I can't focus. I am restless! I need to see her. I need to feel her again! I need her to tell me that she doesn't need me! That's she is fine without me!

She was going to fall in love with me not him. I was meant be the one not him!

I need Faith, because I can't fall now!
