🌺Faith🌺

Death such a weird phenomenon. When my parents died I thought they were alive somewhere between the sky and the ground; maybe chilling on the clouds like ancient Gods. Then my grandma told me that they are in heaven. For years I wondered about this place and its whereabouts. When I was ten I climbed a tree in my grandma front yard, thinking that I would be able to reach heaven, but I fell to the ground, breaking my leg and bruising my arms and face. After I left the hospital and when I was all alone I made my mind that heaven is a place with no gravity. And I think I am there right now, cause I feel like I am flying. A soft cold breeze is caressing my skin. I try to open my eyes but I feel like my lashes are sewed to my skin. A smell of cigarettes and hard liquor is filling my senses. I try to open my eyes and this time a bright light blinds my vision. I lift my hand slowly to cover my eyes. Slowly my vision gets clearer. There is an open window on my side, the curtains are going back and forth as the breeze keeps getting in. There is a huge nude woman painting on the wall and just underneath it there is a table with white flowers on it. The door of the room is closed but there is two people or more outside my door talking in hushed voices. I lift myself up, my head is buzzing and I have a killer headache. My arms and feet are hurting. I feel so disoriented. I look around me taking in my surroundings. I am definitely not home. This is not my room. I can't remember anything from the last day. I can't remember how I ended up here. I start to panic, feeling my palms sweating. As I try to push the white covers from over me, the door opens carefully. I stay still, my eyes focusing on the ajared door. Then a dark haired head picks from behind the door and slowly the person moves onto the room. I fix my eyes on the stranger. It's a man, a tall man with tattoos on his both forearms. He is wearing a black T-shirt and a jean. His hair is pushed all the way back in a short cut. he has a goatee, his eyes are a bright color of black. He looks so familiar, yet do different.

"How do you feel Faith?" He asks me softly. His voice brings back memories that I don't want to remember. His eyes flashes onto mine, reminding me of spring... a spring break that I want to forget about. I feel myself sink onto a wave of denial. This can't be true! He can't be alive. He died.. he is dead. The trigger was pulled and he died. Dead people can't comeback to life.

God in the above heavens, save me from my own demons!

My eyes are fixated on the supposedly dead man. He starts walking towards me. I move my lips to talk but nothing comes out. I unconsciously raise my both hands.

"Stop!" I burst out. However he doesn't stop, he keeps walking to me, then he sits down right next me. His eyes is watching me carefully. Our eyes are leveled at each other. I feel something running down my face. I don't remember starting to cry. My lips starts trembling. This can't be true! the girls told me that he died. I must be dreaming. He looks so different yet so himself. No braids, no braces and no funny clothes. He raises his hand to my face, cupping my cheek and whipping the tears with his thumb. I flinch at his touch. It feels so real, I can't be dreaming. Alien is alive. He is not dead.

"Long time no see.. sweetheart" he whispers. I close my eyes as more tears falls down. "shhh! don't cry" he says softly.

"You are alive" I mumble "you are alive!"

"Yes baby, I am," he says simply

Alive... Alive.. and suddenly the memory of last night crush me on full force. Getting back home late, my drunken boss, I got in his car... he tried to rape me and... and... and... I shot him... I killed him!!!! Without thinking I jump out of the bed.

"OH MY GOD I KILLED MY BOSS" I breath out my words loudly. I start shaking, my whole body trembling as the reality hits me. I feel two hands grabbing my shoulders.

"Clam down Faith," Alien tries to calm me down, "You will be okay, I took care of everything"

I look at him with wide eyes, breathing hardly. Then, I remember the shadow who pulled me out of the car last night. It's must be him. I shake my head back and forth. "I killed him... nothing is going to be alright" I say in panic.

"No you ll be alright.. I took care of everything." he tells me calmly. I lift my head up looking at his eyes. He nods his head reassuring me, "believe me.. nothing ll happen to to you."

He grabs my forearm pulling me with him, "sit" he says; and I do so. Then I watch him as he walks to the nightstand, where there is a bottle of water. He grabs it and then walks back to where I am. He hands me the bottle and sits next to me.

"I took care of the body," he says like he is talking about a football game, "Nobody ll be able to relate you to this" he adds explaining. I hold on to the bottle like holding on to dear life. My heart is beating faster and I feel like dying. The last time Alien helped us getting out of jail, he asked us to join his gang. Alien does nothing for granted.

"What do you want?" I ask him my eyes fixated on the wall behind him as I tears still falling down.

"What do you mean?" he asks confusingly.

"You are covering for me," I state "What do you want in return?"

He looks at me with a smile on his face. His eyes brightly taking me in. He lifts his hand and cups my face.

"You" he simply says.
