Toni was sure being late on the first day of the semester would give you a bad rep, but clearly, her english teacher didn't get the memo. Not that she was complaining, it gave her a moment to finish off the chapter of her book she'd been dying to read. It was only when the distant chatter of a gathering of boys that she lifted her nose from her book, intrigued in their conversation.

"Dude, she's crazy hot. Why do you think I failed last semester?" A boy with messy blonde curls gushed, a smug look dancing along his expression.

Toni scoffed at his words, knowing it was probably just because he didn't have the brains to pass.

Another one chimed up shortly after, "I've seen a handful of hot teachers in my time, but she knocks them all out of the park."

Their comments made Toni's mind wander, unlike the others, she'd never been interested in the concept of dating a teacher. They were all stuck up, selfish, egotistical bastards in her opinion. Besides, she didn't need the distraction from her achieving her qualifications. The quicker she got a decent job, the better. But the rhythmic sound of approaching heels, and mutters falling silent told Toni she was about to meet the woman everyone appeared to be drooling over.

The brunette almost forgot to react. Her soulful brown eyes fixating on the ivory legs that went on for days, the red skin tight leather skirt that clung to the woman's curves oh so perfectly, the way she walked in such an effortless saunter. It was only when her lustful eyes finally found its way to the mysterious woman's face, that she felt a lump crawl into her throat. It was the woman from the showers. Suddenly heat rushed to her cheeks, silently wishing the woman wasn't who she thought she was.

But by the sound of a sharp whistle released by one of the boys, she knew exactly who she was. Toni's eyes fell on her timetable, flickering down to the name that now caused her heart to skip a beat. Ms Blossom.

Toni hadn't realised how long she'd been standing there, gawking down at the thin sheet of slightly crumpled paper between her hands until she heard someone clear their throat. Her eyes snapped up just to be met by Ms Blossoms intimidating gaze, her eyebrow arched as she peered down at the seemingly smaller than usual brunette.

"I'm assuming you're here to attend my class?"

All Toni could do was nod as she collected up her things, readying to enter the classroom that would be her own for the rest of the year.

"Well you're late, everyone else was seated no less than five minutes ago." Ms Blossom spoke coldly, stood before her arms folded, sizing up the petite woman. Toni frowned at her words, glancing at the clock.

"I think you'll find that you're the late one. Class was supposed to start fifteen minutes ago."

Apparently that was the wrong thing to say, something flashed in the redheads eyes as Toni held her glare. She watched as her jaw clenched, clearly not used to someone standing up to her. For a second, Toni thought she was about to be assigned to peel the gum from beneath the tables, but in a dangerously quiet hiss Ms Blossom said,

"I suggest you find your seat, Miss Topaz."

A familiar feeling washed over Toni, the brunette rolling her eyes as she brushed past her professor. The book she'd been reading hugged to her chest. With the recent exchanges she'd had with Ms Blossom, it just confirmed the fact that no matter how hot her teacher could be, they always thought they were better than everyone else.

The classroom happened to be brimming with life as she entered, students jotted around the room gossiping to one another whilst the teacher was out of the room. None spared a glance her way. No one ever did. Toni slipped into a chair in the second row, knowing it was best to be near the front if she actually wanted to learn something. Although the gnawing feeling in her stomach told her she'd struggle to focus this year.
