A sharp inhale of a familiar scent of coconut and shea butter washed over her as her professor slammed down her book, with a noise so loud it echoed around the lounge. Toni's cheeks burned feeling the weight of a million eyes upon her. The redhead didn't bother staying long enough to notice the prying eyes, turning abruptly on her heels and practically charging away.
Toni found herself all but stumbling out of her seat, in an attempt to chase the woman that haunted her dreams most nights.
"Cheryl, wait—"
The brunette didn't have time to regret calling the woman out by her name, knowing that could have consequences if any of the other professors heard. Luckily, they tended to spend their hours locked away in their offices. Dreading the mere thought of interacting with their students. If it wasn't embarrassing enough, a yelp escaped her lips as she felt her foot catch on her loose laces sending her face first towards the floor.
Her body automatically threw her hands forward to protect her from the fall, forgetting the eyes of her peers no doubt sniggering down at her. As her hands connected with the carpet beneath her, she didn't miss the burning sensation in her palms. As the brunette stood, composing herself her brown eyes locked with Cheryl's, the fiery haired woman watching her with hesitance.
Those seconds felt like hours before the professor decided to go about her day, leaving the brunette with the lingering embarrassment of falling flat on her face. Toni knew the pang in her chest wasn't from her grazed palms. Cheryl hadn't even bothered to ask her if she was okay, the thought set a rage somewhere within her.
A hand landed on her arm, pulling it towards the stranger, only to find those blue eyes that were always looking for her brown ones. An expression of concern washed over face as she gently raised Toni's palms.
"You're bleeding." The dark haired girl observed, her petite hands cupping Toni's. "Come on, you need to run them under water."
Toni didn't bother arguing, the motivation draining from her body. If she'd have known Cheryl was over her shoulder - she'd shut down Donna's gloating as soon as it had started. The last thing she wanted was for her professor to feel uncomfortable talking with her all because of something she'd overheard.
As her mind swamped with questions - partly curious as to why her professor was so affected by the words in the first place - she heard the slight squeak of the bathroom door being pushed open. It wasn't long before Donna was drowning her hands beneath luke warm water.
Toni kicked herself for caring so much about some teacher that hadn't been in her life no more than a month. As she fell back to reality, her gaze dropped onto the light skinned girl cleaning up her cut hands with such care. It was almost as though she'd felt Toni's eyes on her, the blue eyed girl examined Toni.
"Are you okay?"
Her voice was so soft, so caring that Toni found she couldn't help herself. Her heart yearned to feel something, anything. To distract herself from the thoughts of fair skin and red hair.
Instead of giving Donna an honest answer, she slipped her arms beneath the raven haired girls thighs hoisting her onto the sink. A small gasp slipped past Donna's lips as she instinctively wrapped her arms around Toni's shoulders. Basking in the attention she so rarely received.
A frustrated groan left Toni as she tugged at the fabric of Donna's shirt. A smirk danced along the raven haired girl's lips, assisting the impatient girl in removing her top. The second the blue eyed girl was topless, Toni was pawing at her breasts beneath her bra. Donna released a muffled moan against Toni's shoulder, knowing if anyone heard what was happening, they'd be pulled into the principal's office.
