She'd been faced with the same problem a million times in her life. But last year, she was let off the hook; it had been optional to either write out your assignments on paper, or send them across with an email. The issue of not having a computer hadn't been a problem.

It seemed inevitable in this modern day and age that she'd soon need a computer for online work, and yet until now she'd managed to avoid it. The thought of spending all of the cash she'd earned on some snotty computer, caused a bubble of worry to fill in her stomach. She had more important things to pay for than some computer.

Toni lingered behind as she watched the final two students exit the classroom, nerves suddenly rising in her chest as her eyes fell on the woman collecting papers from each row. In an attempt to be polite and somehow pluck up the courage to speak to said woman, the brunette found herself picking up the remainder of the loose papers. It was only when she was holding them out to her professor that she'd noticed Toni had stayed behind.

"Oh. You didn't have to do that." The redhead said in surprise as she gathered Toni's papers into her pile.

That sweet, cherry lipped smile across her face that made Toni go weak in the knees, shining before her. It was almost enough to render the poor girl speechless.

"I need to talk to you." The seriousness of the students' tone made Cheryl's smile fall. "It's about the newest assignment."

Toni knew the redhead would be confused, she passed all of the classwork with flying colours. The idea that she'd need assistance in such a simple subject, would be surprising. But still, her professor nodded slowly, settling herself on top of her desk. The brunette's mind couldn't help but wander, the thought of the things the two could achieve on the desk, had crossed her mind several times since she'd first laid eyes on the achingly beautiful woman.

"I just wanted to know if it was optional for me to complete my online tasks on paper?" Toni started, her dark eyes not meeting the direct eye contact she knew Cheryl was giving her. "It's just, it's my preferred method, you know, to write things down. And I'm pretty sucky with computers, I might end up deleting it or sending it to someone else. I just think it'll do us both a favour if I just hand it in on paper."

Ms Blossom watched with interest as Toni sucked in a breath, hands clasped together as though she were praying, her chocolate brown eyes pleading with her to agree.

"No."

The answer took Toni aback, she'd made enough valid points for the woman to agree with her. It took mere seconds for her mind to flicker to upset and confusion.

"I don't understand." She'd meant for it to come out more forceful, but instead she sounded like a kicked puppy.

Cheryl didn't falter, reaching out a hand and cautiously placing on Toni's forearm. The young serpent didn't miss the trial of fire it left along her skin.

"I've only been teaching for two years now," The redhead began, her soft words pulling the students brown eyes to her own. "I've met all kinds of students. But for once, I've found someone who is mature and intelligent enough, to know how to correctly use a computer. I want a real reason, Miss Topaz."

It took Toni a moment to gather herself, a fire had lit at the base of her chest hearing the woman speak so highly of her. But the thought of confessing the real reason she needed to write the assignment on paper, she felt her cheeks grow pink. Without doubt, she knew every student in this facility had a laptop or computer. Everyone except her.

Toni's eyes fell to her feet, where she refused to look up as her next words spilled from her lips,

"I don't own a computer."
