"Devlin, it's not...", Carolyn began.

"Burke", he smirked.

"Burke, I am not eager to betray Joe to you". She sipped on some tea. He shook his head.

"I was at Collinsport, Carolyn; I saw everything".

"What".

"I saw Roger's eyes on me. And how his distrust reflected badly on Elizabeth. And you. And I was, at first, interested in gothic haunted houses; I was interested in the fishing sailors' tales of Vampires. Do not try and deny me...".

And then Joe played a song on the enormous Jukebox.

And, when 'Smoke gets in your eyes' was played he walked towards Carolyn's seat. "Burke, get away from Carolyn".

And he punched Burke in the mouth with his right hand.

Burke spat blood out of his split lip, then he smiled.

"Finally, a man at last".

And, as the police were called, he left them alone, and walked out of the Pub, just as the cops arrived to break up the fight.
