Sitting next to a cute, well mannered boy with an optimistic personality and no snide remarks was positively without a doubt one of the hardest things Hayami had done in her life. Why?

Because he was normal! Normal!

She had no idea how to act around normal people! It was a rarity from who she was surrounded by on daily occasions or whenever she went to Miyagi. Iwaizumi was normal too but around Tooru, he tended to be a little too sarcastic and half her time would be wasted in prying him off her cousin. Sometimes, she'd give up all together.

("Iwa-chan, you see those girls? They look pretty cute right?" 

"Yeah, I guess."

"Well too bad none of them are interested in your scary face!"

"Shittykawa..."

"Ack! Haya-chan, hel—"

"No.")

Sugawara Koushi was a charming guy who gave off a motherly vibe, much like Yaku in her opinion, but he was incredibly cute and handsome — more so than the libero. As a result.. Hayami found herself with sitting with her the vice captain of the Karasuno team.

Looking at her past record, Oikawa Hayami fell for guys who were kind and had gentleman like qualities — the exact opposite of Kuroo Tetsurou. However, that perceptive bastard caught her sneaking a few glances at Sugawara a few too many times for more than a few seconds each time and began to grin widely.

"Manager-chan~ I think you should get close with the team, you know, for team bonding sessions as their teacher said!" 

"What? No, I-"

"In fact, I'm gonna be sitting next to Daichi-san to exchange some.. ideas and regiments, some captain bonding. You should sit with Suga-san!"

"But Kai-"

"Is sitting with Yakkun so that he doesn't end up attacking Lev on the other side."

"I can-"

"You can't. Lev is too big and Yakkun can handle himself since he's small."

"But-"

"Off you go!"

With that, he pushed her in the general direction of Sugawara and she stumbled into his back, her face a bright red due to the embarrassment. As he turned to look at her, she bowed hastily, mentally cussing out Kuroo in her mind. 

"I'm sorry, Sugawara-san!"

He smiled warmly at her. "No worries. Call me Suga, Oikawa-san."

"Okay..." She replied a little breathlessly. No matter how rigid and stuck up Hayami was, she was still a girl nervous around  cute guy and Kuroo knew that. Even she couldn't completely make herself emotionless like a robot. 

And so she was seated next to him on the persistent requests of Kuroo Tetsurou. Suga was confused, but agreed anyways. Daichi had mentioned something about the Captain of the Nekoma team being a little crafty and he was honestly wondering what he was up to this time. 

Besides, he felt that Hayami would torment the others — save Tsukishima because he could handle himself — and wanted to make sure his baby crows didn't get too hurt because they were sensitive, especially Hinata and Kageyama because they were just too innocent.
