"Oh Jonathan, dinner was amazing. Thank you again." I smiled him as we were entering the apartment, going to the kitchen to wash our dishes since his maid was off.
We had dinner at the balcony. He prepared a stuffed grilled chicken with loaded baked potatoes. It was really good, I think I had three plates.
"Anything for the lady who makes me feel so special." Jonathan chuckled, putting the dishes down on the counter before placing a kiss on my cheek then lips.
"Since we're in the right mood, I wanted to give you something." Jonathan smiled, holding up his index finger to tell me to stay there while he go get the gift.
I squealed to myself as my heart raced with excitement. There were so many guesses on what he got me. He probably got me a ring or a necklace or something.
A few seconds later, he speedily walks back into the kitchen. In the palm of his hand he held a small blue velvet box which made me look at him in awe.
Jonathan redirect his eyes to me. "Claire, you have always been amazing. From the first time I met you to now. You are a blessing in my life and I would love you to be mine."
A gasp escaped from my mouth, along with the tears filling my eyes.
"Claire, will you marry me?" Jonathan asked.
I didn't know what to respond so I quickly shook my head yes as tears begin to fall.
Jonathan laughs at my reaction and opened up the box as it reveals a sparking 24 karat diamond ring.
He took the ring out but sat the box on the counter before sliding the jewelry on my finger. I continued to sob.
Jonathan looked up and smiled, he moves his face closer to mine as we share a kiss.
