Tangled Love

Chapter 1: Starting off new

Lexi's POV

"Get the bloody hell down here Alexandra Johnson! It's your first day of school!" My mom demanded.

I didn't even reply, I just woke up and checked the time, "Oh crap it's 8:00 already."

I quickly grabbed my clothes, brushed my teeth and got dressed. I ran out the house without saying goodbye to my mom. While I am running to school, why don't I tell you a little bit about myself. I am Alexandra Johnson and I'm going to be a senior this year, my hobbies include reading and writing, I would consider myself as a 'nerd'. 

After walking for 10 minutes, I stood in front of the school gate and started running to the principal's office to get my schedule. I knocked on the principal's door and open it slightly then started walking in. In the room, I saw a middle age woman in a black pencil dress, so I assume that she is Ms. Copperfield. I walked in front of her desk, and I saw two chairs in front of me. One of the chair sat a girl around my age. She has beautiful brown hair and she is looking at me with her blueish eyes. I wonder why is she here.

"Hi, you must be Alexandra." she smiled, "I am Ms.Copperfield, welcome to Mayfield high. This is Jessa, one of our school's best student, she will show you around the school."

The girl who I assume it's Jessa nodded and gave me a small smile, I smiled back. 

"You're Alexandra right?" she asked.

"Yeah... uhhh... call me Lexi." I replied with a small smile.

"I'm Jessa but you can call me Jess." She took her hand out and I shook it.

When we walked out of the office, everyone was staring and whispering. I wasn't really used to this so I kept my head down to avoid the stares. 

"Okay what class do we have first?" I asked after we got past everyone who was staring. 

"So our first lesson will be English then Math then a free period. After that, we have lunch and last lesson should be History." she said with a smile.

We walked to Jess's locker that was surrounded by some hot guys. 

"Hey Jess, who's your friend over there?" He smirked and winked at me. 

"She is a new student and don't make fun of her!" Jess said while slightly punching Joel in the shoulder.

"Hello, my name is Alexandra but you can call me Lexi?" I introduced myself with a faint smile.

"Oh how rude of me, let me introduce you to my friends. The dude over there is Joel who is my overprotective brother who is a player so beware."

She then pointed to another girl who also looks really pretty "This is Veronica Williams. She is my best friend." Jess introduced.

"Hello, nice to meet you" She said with a big grin on her face.

"Nice to meet you too" I said awkwardly.

"That's James by the way, he also has the same classes as us" Jess introduced

"Hey" he said

"Hi" 

James's POV

When I stood out from Joel's back I saw a beautiful girl next to Jess, I shook her hand and said hi. She was shy and I liked it. Her facial and body features are beautiful, but not as beautiful as Jess. I have this really big crush on Jess ever since freshman , I really want to ask her out but Joel being his usual self is really protective of Jess. I've known the Pettyfiers ever since freshman and they have been taking care of me, all because of messed up life. 

I still remember when my mom placed me gently down a path that lead to a church, tears were streaming down her face as she left me alone in some church on a rainy day. However I was taken in by an adoption place and was quickly adopted. When I turned 15 I ran away because they were abusive. I found a job and started school after that. I met Joel and I told him about my past and he told me that I can stay with him, so I did and quitted my job. I am really grateful that the Pettyfiers would do that. After since that, Jess, Joel and I (and also Riley whose the school bitch but she wasn't like that before) were best buds.
