Lexi POV
Beep Beep Beep Beep!! The sound of my alarm clock suddenly rang beside me. I snoozed the alarm clock and see what time it is, its 7:30am. I quickly jumped off my comfy bed and went to shower. I then changed into my navy blue button-up with cardigan and brownish leggings. I applied a little eyeliner, mascara and lip gloss. I always think that my appearance is one of the most important thing, but not too bitchy, not too baggy, just simple, just wanting to give people a good first impression. I ran down to the living room and grabbed an energy bar, I looked at the clock… SHIT! ITS 8:00 (school starts at 8:30)! And right before I leave the house, I quickly slipped on my converse and tied up a high ponytail. I sprinted out the doorway and can legit feel the taste of fall and the breeze… Oh god, I just love this kind of weather! I hopped into my car and started the engine... VROOM VROOM!
When I arrived school, I quickly checked my timetable and I can see that my first lesson, is english. I checked the time again, its 8:15, phew…. I still have 15 minutes of free time!
“Mornin’!” Jess said cheerfully.
“Hey girl!” I replied.
“We have english right?” Jess asked.
“Yup, we do!” I answered in a high pitch.
Jess and I started walking into the classroom, we grabbed a seat in the back row and I can see that Mr. Jacob is writing neatly on the chalkboard.
“Ok class, so today, we’re going to have a first group project this year.” Mr. Jacob said in a clear and loud voice.
“What you’re going to do with your partner is to choose 3 novels from a different genre and present a book talk to the whole class. You will need 3 different presentation and each presentation must be less than 4 minutes. Are we clear of what we need to do?” Mr. Jacob asked.
“Can we choose our own partner?” A blonde bimbo with caked on make-up asked.
“Unfortunately, the answer is no. I will pick the partners for you from this little cup.” He said pointing to the cup behind him.
“So lets start picking our partners!” He continued.
Mr. Jacob started picking up the sticks from the cups and started calling the names that he picked. After calling all the names that have been picked, I heard my name.
“And last but not least… Lexi and Riley!” He said loudly.
Holy fuck! WHY AM I IN THE SAME GROUP AS THIS BITCH!? WHY, JUST TELL ME WHY! Faith has decided that I’m not going to have a good grade for this project…
“Can’t believe that I need to be in the same group as you!” She said rudely.
“Ugh!” I groaned.
"Okay, class you guys can start working." Mr. Jacob said while slightly clapping his hand. I obviously have to start walking towards Riley's table.
“Um first off you can do all of the work” said Riley.
“Um hell no bitch, you will have to suck it up and work with me.” I said with a sassy bitchy tone.
When did I turn into that.
“Ok, fine, but you will have to come over to my place and get some shit done.” She said bitchly.
“Fine.” I said unwillingly.
