Hidden Eyes

Chapter 13

We made our way to a park that had a really nice view out to a field and trees. Making our way to a tree, we sat down against it looking towards the field and trees.

"It's beautiful the whole view here." I say while I gaze out at the view.

Johnny looking with me "It is, but it's more beautiful when it's a sunset or sunrise." he says.

I take a photo of the view, then I go to relax against the tree.

"Thank you for showing me all of this Johnny, it's really incredible." I say looking towards him.

Nudging me and laughing "You're welcome, but it's worth it though."

We sit there for awhile, it wasn't cold or to hot plus with the breeze. The weather was just perfect to be outside exploring. Watching the sun go behind the clouds, I remembered something.

"We forgot to get snacks or something to eat in case we get hungry." I tell him while I stretch my legs out.

Realizing it to he started laughing causing me to laugh "That's right, we should go get some stuff to eat then. I can continue to show you around."

He gets up and helps me get to my feet, grabbing our bag we headed to go get some food. Seeing people freaking out as we made our way down the road, I waved at them and smiled. I like to make people happy, since that makes their day. Then I'm defiantly going to do that, cause you never know if someone is having a bad day and you could easily cheer them up. Making our way down, haha I bet I made ya'll sing the first part of that song didn't I? We made it to the food shop and browsed around for little snacks.

"I have no idea what would be good or not, so I'll let you pick some of your favorites." I tell him as I followed him along the aisles.

Smiling and laughing "I won't disappoint you, plus it be really interesting to see how you would react to them too."

As we made our way down the aisles, he picked out different sweets and chips. I grabbed a few different drinks that he said were his favorite. We paid for the snacks, and head out by walking down the road towards the outskirts of the town. It was still early around noon time, so we had plenty of time before it got dark.

"I wanna show you something really cool that ends up close to my place." Johnny tells me with excitement.

"From the way you made it sound, you seem really excited to show me." smiling along with him.

Leading the way down the street, he gets more excited as we got closer to whatever it is. I took a sip of one of the drinks, it had a tangy orange flavor. It was really good, like a glass of morning orange juice. Except it was more of soda type, it's hard to explain but that's the easiest way to do it. We were sharing a chocolate candy bar that was his favorite, I never seen it before except whenever I was in England. So I knew it was a here, and it's really good. It reminds me of a snickers bar, except with more caramel inside it. I took one last sip of the orange drink as we turned a corner and I see a little canal that ran along the side of the road.

"There's a canal! That's so cool!" I say with excitement as we walked closer to it.

"Yeah, you can also take a boat that goes up and down it." he tells me as we walked slowly along it.

"Really? That's really amazing, cause it's so peaceful looking too." I looked at the water.

It's so calm looking, it would make it really nice trip on it without having to worry about a really bumpy ride. He wrapped his arm around my shoulder as we continue to walk, it was really peaceful. Like there was no one around or anything, so it was like an apocalypse it was quite minus the few birds and the water making some noise. Plus our feet on the smacking the road, we finished the candy bar as we got farther down the road along the canal. We continue to walk in silence, it was that comfortable silence. I was really happy and everything right there in that very moment.
