Harry Potter x Labyrinth AU

I want to start this off by saying that THIS IS JUST FOR FUN! There's only a slim chance that I might someday (and I say someday lightly) that I might actually write an AU on this.

Another thing- this is an AU and will have ideas from the 1986 Jin Henson's movie- Labyrinth in it as well! Although inspiration is from Harry Potter and Labyrinth and there are similar plots (to Harry Potter), things will be different, especially in later years.

First, let's start off with a little backstory:

All magic, and supernatural creatures came from one place- The Underground. It was a realm where they all lived together in harmony, but soon, the supernatural became curious of humans and slowly started moving to the Aboveground. Magic spread like wildfire and soon, it was abundant and not in the ordinary.

As time passed, magic grew into some families that used to be just Muggles. And Muggles, who didn't have that power grew envious. They sought out to take all the magic to themselves.

In the center of the Underground, laid a place called The Labyrinth. It was the oldest source of magic in the Underground. It was a mystical, enchanted place where magic ran wild. Only the strongest of wizards and witches could enter into it and come out unscathed. To protect the Underground from the harm of Muggles, the Labyrinth sealed the Underground's doors shut to where only the Royal family could enter into the realm.

To protect themselves, Wizards and Witches separates themselves from the Muggle world. During this time of peace, many hoped that the Underground would open it's doors back up to them, but the Labyrinth refused. It let out a warning that evil was coming and it would not open back up until it was vanquished by it's heir.

To protect themselves, and any future heirs to the throne, the royal family went into hiding in the magical world as a wealthy, pure-blooded family. Centuries passed, and many believed that perhaps, the Labyrinth had gave out that warning as a punishment for them to suffer.

A dark wizard grew into power, just as the Labyrinth foretold. This wizard had deep resentment towards Muggles, who had brutally killed his little sister. He believed that Muggles were beneath them and that if not for them, they would all be in the Underground again. His family had once been powerful in the Underground, but in the Aboveground they were struggling to stay alive even though they were Pure-Bloods.

The Dark Wizard's name was Hagewashi, which means Vulture but when he grew into power he went by the name Lord Rage, which was fitting. This name alone sent fear into people. He was a cruel wizard with followers that seemed to keep growing. Many believed his reign of terror would never end, but then a prophecy appeared.

The Heir to the throne had been born as the year dies. He will rise into power not yet known to any, and with the help of the one he makes his equal, which was born on a night of a lunar eclipse and star showers, he will be able to summon a Dragon that will be the Dark Lord's end.

Enraged, the Dark Lord sent spies out everywhere and it wasn't long until he found out just who the heir was, and who his equal would be. They were nothing but children at the time, at the tender ages of five and eight.

The Dark Lord decides to kill them before they have a change to kill him, and his followers go and kidnap the children. Something happens that night that leaves the world believing that the Dark Lord is defeated and the children vanished. For hours their families search for them, until they are discovered passed out in the Royal Family's garden maze- which is a portal for them to use to go into the Labyrinth.
