The teen woke up and she was drowning. Drowning in a sea of fire. The liquid surrounded her, the saturation seeping into her skin and cleansing it of the dark ink that had adorned it just the day before. It filled her mouth with a salty taste, when she opened her eyes, she got a quick glimpse of nothing but saturation before she quickly shut them again from pain. Her clothes were heavy from the soaking solution, and she struggled to sit up in her bed. Copper knew what surrounded her, and she swam up to find an air pocket. She found one not far from where she was sitting, and as soon as she took a breath she had to swallow back vomit, for the smell and the stench of the vile liquid surrounded her, the coppery dead smell of blood.
However, as soon as it started, the experience was over - a light flashed in the corner, and the flood receded, leaving the stains on her skin and the drops falling off of her clothing in a vibrant mess. She was hyperventilating now, taking in deep breaths of air to steady her pounding heart. In her lifetime, Copper Williams has been surrounded by many things, walls, fire, people… but never something so grotesque as to be compared to blood. Never did she want to be exposed to such gore again.
Another note slid underneath the door, and the girl took a couple seconds to compose herself before turning and picking it up, trying not to get the sticky substance that had stained her fingers on the parchment. It took all her willpower, too, to not rip it to shreds, figuring that in doing so would seal probably an even worse fate.
'Copper,
Hoped you enjoyed your little shower this morning, I apologize if it was a bit of a rude awakening… I just wanted to have some fun with you before we begin your testing. However, I have another question for you;
Pills, or syringes?
-Aaron'
