At Sophia's, Eugene's fever slowly began to subside as the remedy worked away the poison. A whole day passed by, all the while Eugene was unconscious. Ava began to feel much better, Sophia's remedies and medicines seemed to work wonders for her injury.

Ava helped Sophia around the house since Lola deemed it too dangerous for her to return home. Sophia had seen the decision coming but still feared for her daughter's safety. She knew if she foresaw an attack, she wouldn't be able to warn her as she did at home.

Lola stayed at Jared's home, helping him and Iris back to health. It was soon the second night Lola worked, and she prepared her bed. Iris woke suddenly, feeling woozy from medication. She pushed herself up, the blankets falling to the floor. She then got to her feet, but her balance was still shaky. Iris lost her footing fast, grabbing the table in front of her in an attempt to stay upright, but she toppled, knocking a few objects off the table. The loud crash alerted Lola from the other room, and she walked in holding her wooden chair up defensively.

"Who's there- Iris?" Lola put down the chair and rushed to her.

"I-I'm fine..." She muttered, weakly pushing Lola away.

"No, you're not. You need to rest. Everyone is alright and safe for now I promise," Lola coaxed her into letting her help, and she assisted her back to the bed. After Iris hit the pillow she was out.

"You're amazing with patients," A voice piped up from the opposite end of the room. Jared sat there, propped up on his pillows in his bed.

"Why are you up?" Lola asked, ignoring his comment.

"I couldn't sleep..." He gazed up at her chestnut brown hair resting on her shoulders, long and flowing, "Who made this remedy?"

"My mother."

"That answer was vague..."

"It's all I can disclose. I apologize, but it's for her own safety."

"I understand," He commented looking down, "Thank you, for saving our lives."

"Anytime," She smiled, looking to him and then turning in for the night, "Let me know if you need anything!" She said from the other room.

"I will."
