Days Without You

Rescuing the Princesses

Rapunzel sat in her tower like she did most days. Her mother was gone for about a month getting more supplies for them up in the tower, which meant she was alone, well not completely alone, she did have her best friend Pascal. Most of the month she had been painting the walls with more murals and reading every book they had to offer in her tower. At night she would sit by the window with her dinner of whatever she could scrap up and wonder what was actually out behind that vines that blocked off the exit. Today, she was leaning out the window looking at the ground below where there was a little spring of water and flowers sprouting around it. Pascal came and hopped up onto the ledge by her arm and pointed his tail out the window in front of her as if to say 'Let's go!'

"Pascal... You know we can't leave here. What if mother comes back and finds us gone?"

"Trust me she won't be coming back when she says she will. There just so happens to be a snow storm over in her direction." A voice said from above the window. A very familiar voice.

"Jack?" Rapunzel asked hanging out the window slightly, looking up.

"Hey Raps. Long time no see." He said looking into the window with a smirk.

"What are you doing here?" She said with a bit of confusion on her face and a small laugh.

"Well it's not just me." Jack said just as a black figure came flying up.

"Hello there Rapunzel, long time no see." Hiccup said from his seat on Toothless, Astrid on his right smiled and waved at her.

"Hiccup your here too! And you brought another rider." Rapunzel said excited to see her friends after so long.

"That's Hiccup's girlfriend, Astrid. I'm sure you remember the stories of her." Jack spoke, sitting on the edge of the window ledge.

"Oh, do I remember those times." Rapunzel said swinging her legs over the edge to sit next to Jack.

"As great as this reunion is, that's not exactly why I came here to you..." Rapunzel looked at Jack curious as to what he is talking about.

"You see, a few years ago, the Guardians and I took on another spirit, Pitch Black to be exact." Rapunzel listened carefully to what he was saying.

"Well a few series of events have occurred in the past few days, and he has returned. Us Guardians are in no shape to fight him especially with one of us being kidnapped, and I need your help getting her back before something even worse happens to her."

"Of course I will help you! But who is this 'her' we are talking about?" Rapunzel asked looking at all of them.

"The Tooth fairy, Toothiana, well, Tooth for short. Pitch attacked her at her palace and changed her and now she is in more trouble than she has been in these past few days." Jack said as he stood up leaning against his staff. Astrid moved Stormfly over to the edge of the window and patted the seat behind her.

"Hop on." Rapunzel looked at the dragon and then stood up and moved onto the dragon with ease. Pascal hopped onto her shoulder and tied himself to her hair so he wouldn't fall of.

"Let's get moving. " She told them. Signifying she was ready to go, and they flew through the snow globe portal Jack had thrown.

Merida loved to spend her time in the forest, shooting at the targets she had hung, like she always did.

"Come on Angus!" She yelled and he started running. She drew her bow and shoot at the targets.

"That's it Angus!" She said and she grabbed the reigns and enjoyed the ride. Ever since Mardue was gone she was able to roam freely. (A.N. ~Sorry for spelling errors) Everything had fallen into place for her. She didn't have to get married, and she was able to do the things she wanted to do when she wanted to do them.

"Having fun there princess?" Jack said flying over her.

"Jack!" Merida said with a jump and a pull of Angus' reins to bring him to a stop. "What are you doing here?"

" I'm here to get you of course." Jack said. Merida looked at him confused. With a sigh Jack started to explain what was going on, and Merida listened without hesitation.
"So what do you say princess? Will you help me?"
"Considering your situation you sound like you need me. Don't want anything happening to the rest of you." Jack smiled at her reply and Merida hopped off  Angus patting him on his side to send him back home. Jack picked her up and headed to the pole, and all he could think about the whole time was what was happening to Tooth.

So what do you guess think? Sorry I haven't updated in a long time. I had school and now that I'm out of school I should be doing more now. And I was having some trouble figuring out the Merida part I rewrote that like a billion times. Well anyway tell me what you think and if I should change anything. See you in the next chapter!
