SIDNEY'S POV

I was going to tell Kelsey that I was very scared to see her reaction, but it wasn't worth the while, so I decided to lie.

"What's wrong honey?"

"I feel really bad for dupis," I lied.

"Oh. And that's it?"

"Yeah...so...how many hours do I have to put in?" I was not wanting to wake up tomorrow and hit an ice rink.

"6-8. It's really not that bad if you think about it, Sidney." I know that.

"Yeah," I yawned, "I know."

"Look, we're both tired. At least you are." And then she yawns. I wonder where she got it from.

"Yeah." I said, rubbing the back of my head.

A few minutes later, we were settled underneath the blankets (The really heavy warm ones. My mom wants me to stay warm while I'm here I guess.) her head resting on my chest.

"Sidney?" I was alert now. But it was only Taylor.

"What's up Taylor?" I sat up, carefully moving Kelsy's head.

"Did you ever get hurt and almost had to stop playing hockey?" Well....

"Yeah...a few weeks ago actually. Why?" She sat on the floor where I sat next to her.

"Well...I got a concussion." That's common in hockey.

"And...? Sorry. Okay. What'd the doctor say?" I asked.

"Nothing. I...I haven't seen one yet. Mom and dad don't even know I got hurt." I saw a tear roll down her cheek.

"Hey...no crying please. We'll get through it. I'll help you get through it. I promise I won't tell mom or dad. You wanna go lay on the couch?" She nodded.

"Yeah. My head hurts. Why do concussions have to hurt?" She looked sad and hurt.

"Because they do. I'll give you some medicine." We both got up and I gave Taylor a piggy-back down to the couch.

"I feel like crap," she announced.

"Shh. You don't want mom finding out do you?" I asked, handing her a blanket.

"No. Where's the medicine?" She asked.

"In the kitchen. I've had a concussion before so I know what you're going through." I sat on the couch with her head resting on my chest.

"Sidney...you're still awake." My mom came in and leaned on the doorframe. She sounded a bit worried but really mom, I'm fine.

"Yeah...Kelsey fell asleep...Taylor couldn't sleep...so here I am." I shurgged with one arm since the other was around Taylor, who was sleeping next to me.

"Oh. Well...I'm going to bed now. Goodnight Sidney." Seh kissed me on the forehead before leaving.

"My head still hurts." Taylor sat up and rubbed her forehead.

"Give the medicine time okay? Go back to sleep." I was about to fall asleep too, but them Kelsey came in.

"Hey," (yawn) "you're still awake." She sat in the chair that was next to the couch.

"Yeah...Taylor couldn't sleep." That's just part of the truth....

"Oh...is she okay?" Dammit! Sorry Taylor.

"I think she's got a concussion." I blinked to keep myself awake.

"Oh...well did'ja check for memory loss? Did you check for a fever? I mean, I'm not a doctor, but I do know these things." Smart girl. You are one smart girl.

"No, and no. Should I?" She nodded.

"Yeah...it's a good idea." I put my hand on her forehead...no fever.

"Okay. Taylor, what's my middle name?"

"Patrick, why do I have to do this? I'm tired!" I laughed a little bit.

"My name's not Patrick. It's Sidney."

"Look...just go back to sleep. I won't bother you anymore." I rolled my eyes at Kelsey who took a picture of me.

"You two are too cute! Anyways, you look beat, baby." She smiled before getting up.

"I am. My back is starting to hurt again." Her smile turned into a frown.

"I brought my heating pad for this exact reason. I'll be right back." I pulled out my phone and saw I had received a text from Sutter.

I felt Taylor waking up on me. At least she was sitting in the upright position.

"Hey what's wrong?" I asked.

"I feel like I'm going to throw up...wait...okay, my food went back down. I don't feel well, Sidney." I felt her forehead.

"I'll ask Kelsey when she comes back in." Hoping soon. My back was staring to get worse by the second!
