I still remember the very first date Carter and I ever went on. We at my house and he draped lights over the patio and blew up an air mattress and we watched the stars over the ocean all night.
It may sound clique but that was probably my favorite date ever because nothing happened, we just enjoyed each other's company and the stars.
It was truly amazing.
Everything about our relationship is just one big mess, but it's a good mess.
It seems like we have to always figure things out, but that's okay.
"Carter, do you remember our very first date?"
"Yeah when I put lights up and we watched the stars on your patio?"
"Yeah."
"That was my favorite date."
"Me too." I say and give him a quick kiss.
"You know Christmas is coming soon."
"I know I'm excited." I say.
"What if we went to colorado for Christmas? What would you think?"
"I think that's an amazing idea!" I say with a smile.
"Ethan and I wee thinking that the 4 of us go to Colorado and ski and snowboard rent a condo in the mountains..."
"That sounds so amazing!" I say giving him a warm hug.
"I'm glad you think so babe." He kisses my forehead.
New York is fun and all, but Colorado is beautiful.
I remember when Carter and I first started dating everyone told us we were gonna get married because we were perfect.
After that everyone expected this cute and perfect relationship that was just a lot to behold.
Than apparently Shayne started to like Carter and well you can predict the rest.
Yeah Carter and I were that couple...
The couple everyone wanted to last, hang out with, and even be like, people just wanted so badly for us to withstand anything that came out way, we did too.
I guess something just went wrong in Carter's mind when he cheated. Well he was also drunk so maybe that was it too, but you know.
