Alastor walked inside his house and saw (Y/N) sitting on the couch with her brother. "Feeling any better yet buddy? " Asked Alastor as he walked over to the couch after placing the food on the table.
"A bit better. Thank you for catching the guys behind this. It means a lot to me" Said (Y/N)'s brother gently and smiled as Alastor handed him his money back. "That's good to know. " Said Alastor as he sat down besides them and smiled at (Y/N), who smiled back at him sweetly.
"Oh Alastor darling. You're back. Oh and with food. Thank you so much sweetie. " Said (Y/N)'s mother as she walked into the living room, closely followed by (Y/N)'s father, and smiled at Alastor. "He's a keeper" Chuckled (Y/N)'s father and Alastor smiled, blushing a little. "You're welcome Mr and Mrs (S/N). It wasn't a problem, I wanted to. " Said Alastor gently and smiled.
"You can call us mom and dad son. We've discussed this" Chuckled (Y/N)'s dad and ruffled Alastor's hair, causing (Y/N) to giggle. "Sorry dad. I'll keep that in mind. I'm not use to it yet because I didn't have the chance to call my parents mom and dad a lot" Admitted Alastor sheepishly as they all began sitting down at the table to eat.
"What did happen to your parents Alastor? " Asked (Y/N)'s little brother curiously as everyone at the table fell silent. (Y/N) realised that Alastor had never really told her what had happened to his parents. Every time she'd asked him he'd either changed the topic or something else had come up.
"Well. In case you guys didn't know I have hyperosmia. I have heightened olfactory receptors and my parents had the doctors perform a surgery on me but it was only half successful. I can still smell some things better than most people can. Like blood. That's how I first knew that (Y/N) was hurt. The surgery was done when I was around 5. My parents were really rich, which meant that they were barely around. Thus I was basically raised by my babysitter. So this one weekend, when I was 8, they were suppose to be out, in their penthouse LA, but they had a last minute change of plan that night and stayed home. Our babysitter was a gold digging crook so she'd organized a little heist in our house, thinking nobody would be home, but her along with two other males were surprised by my parents, but one of the males pulled out their gun and shot them. They never even stood a chance. I smelt the blood and ran downstairs, terrified. They saw me and the man drew his gun again, but my babysitter was reluctant on having me killed. Just then, officer Beckett ran inside, his gun draw and he shot the man's arm, sending the gun falling to the floor while the man crumbling to the ground, causing the other two burglars to surrender. Officer Beckett was still a rookie back then and this helped him get his big break. After that he practically raised me because I was a very rich little orphan, and some people would have taken advantage of me. He trained me and when I was old enough I got to run the station. I'm still glad that he was passing by the neighborhood that day. Otherwise I may have never made it this far. Anyway that's the end of my sob story. I hope you guys enjoyed it" Said Alastor grimly before adding a little chuckle at the end, so as not to ruin the mood of everyone at the table.
"I'm so sorry Alastor. I had no idea" Said (Y/N) gently as she hugged him tight while her parents and brother looked at him and smiled a little, comfortingly.
"It's alright. " Said Alastor gently before looking into the hallway and noticing a few packed bags laying there.
"Are you guys leaving early? " Asked Alastor clearly stunned as he looked at (Y/N)'s parents, confused.
"Well actually, I am too. But only for a week. My brother wanted to go home and we think it's best for him. Besides, I'll be back before you know it, promise. I was going to tell you before but I didn't know how. " Said (Y/N) gently as she still held onto Alastor, who looked visibly hurt.
"It's okay. It's only a week. You'll be safe. I have work anyway. It'll be fine. Is everyone done with dinner? I'll do the dishes" Said Alastor as he smiled quickly and grabbed the plates while rushing to the kitchen.
(Y/N)'s parents and brother felt a little guilty and sighed before they went to their room to sleep for the night and (Y/N) walked up behind Alastor and hugged him. "Hey don't worry. I'll be back soon. I'll text you every day and we can video call loads too. Don't worry. It's only a week" Said (Y/N), reassuringly as Alastor nodded. "Yeah. Only a week" He said gently and smiled as he hugged her and they walked towards their bedroom. (Y/N) giggled and kissed Alastor on the cheek as she shut the door behind them and turned the speaker on.
"May I have this dance Mr Alastor Jackson? " She giggled teasingly as she held the palm of her hand out for him.
"Of course you may, my fair lady (Y/N) " Chuckled Alastor as he gently leaned down and held her hand, kissing it before they began dancing around the room.
The dancing began with them spinning around the room together before they began running and jumping around the room like lunatics to fast playing music. In the end they just slow danced to some mellow music as it began raining outside, the pitter patter of the rain on the window providing some sort of comfort to them as they eventually turned the radio off and lay down to sleep, as Alastor cuddled (Y/N) close to him, not wanting to let go.

The next day (Y/N) and her family had gotten ready to leave. Alastor drove them to the train station and bid them goodbye, crying a little as (Y/N) kissed his cheek before getting into the train as it departed from the station.
"It's only a week. She needs this. I've gotta be strong for her. Besides, how hard could this be" Said Alastor as he'd gotten home and was now standing at the doorway and staring at the empty and silent house that now lay before him.
