-The drive to the café Jungkook was meeting MoonByul and HyeJin at was not as bad as he anticipated. The traffic wasn't as bad, as he had missed the rush of the morning commute. The roads were spotted with taxis, various different cars, people running into the streets, and other slightly stressful things.
However, Jungkook was just glad he wasn't stuck in traffic for an hour like last night. He still wondered how the fuck there were that many people at three in the morning—but he didn't want to think about it too hard.
Though, at least he could cross of a traffic accident from the bad thing that he felt was going to happen today. That was a plus.
So, twenty minutes later, Jungkook pulled up to a quaint little café in a more peaceful part of New York. The shop was painted light tan with pink accents and the words Kim's Café in English were written in a black, sophisticated font on the front.
"Kim's Café?" Jungkook mumbled to himself. He hummed, shrugging off the slightly uneasy feeling he had as he entered the shop.
Almost immediately he saw MoonByul and HyeJin in a nice baby-blue colored booth on the far side of the café. MoonByul noticed him and waved him over, the younger smiling softly and following her gesture.
He sat down and she immediately side-hugged him. "I've missed you so god damn much, Gguk!" Gguk, or Jungguk. The name Jungkook changed his name to. It was slightly different in terms of spelling, but it sounded pretty much the same.
He liked it that way.
Jungkook smiled, hugging his friend back. "I've missed you too." He looked up at HyeJin, who sat across the table. "And you Ahn." He reaches and held her hand. "I've missed you as well."
HyeJin smiled. "Me too, Gguk. I honestly had forgotten how you looked now a days, since I haven't seen you in so long." It was true. Almost a full six months without ever seeing her. "But, look at you! You looks so dashing!"
They spoke in English, since all of their jobs required them to know the more popular language. Although, Jungkook rarely ever speaks English, due to living in Korea.
Although, he does brush up with his English with trainees from America."So! How's the job going? Heard from Moonie that you got promoted to a manager." HyeJin smiled sweetly at Jungkook. It was refreshing to say the least. Refreshing to be like this again.
Be with them again.
"Yeah," Jungkook smiled back. "Hard work pays off I guess." A soft chuckle, a hint of something more—but it was too soft for anyone to decipher.
"You always were a hard worker, though. It's nothing new." MoonByul chimed, gleefully. "Do you like it? Your job?"
Jungkook nodded. "Yeah, I do. It's nice to be in charge but not fully, y'know?" The two women nodded, agreeing. Understanding in sweet silence. "I've met a lot of interesting people, so that cool."
"Interesting? What do you mean?" HyeJin interested, leaning in slightly, like her puppy self.
Kinda like Taehyung...Jungkook thought. No, no. Do not think of him now. You're here with your friends, forget about him for one god damn second.
A sigh. Simple, but it covered up more then the other two at the table would ever know. "Interesting meaning—well, just quite different people. Some of them hurt my head with the way they don't stop talking."
