The question

I got up and helped up my mom and Paul. " Are you okay?" I asked as my father and Zeus were still yelling at each other.

" Yes we are fine Percy." Paul answered, smiling at me. I turned back over to the fighting gods. I've about had enough of this. I walked away but Paul was holding me back, I pushed his arms back and walked up to Zeus and Poseidon and they stopped their bickering to look at me.

" Percy, my dear son what do you want?" He asked putting his head in his hand. He looked like Hades when he did that bit I guess, I mean they're brothers.

" Guys just stop. Please. No I did not take my fathers trident, and you sure know that I didn't take your lightning bolt." I said but trying not to get them to mad because with a swift of their hand they can to ashes.

" Persus!" My father said looking me in the eye and squeezing my shoulders.

" No dad. You guys will not have a war. Just tell me what you want me, my mom and Paul for." I said again not trying to get blown to dust, bit I did just say no to a god...

" Fine." Poseidon said really mad. " Zeus the war shall be called off." He said walking away from his brother. I calmed down. I started backing away from my dad and Zeus to my mom. She looked at me with horror in her eyes, I turned around and saw myself in the future. I was fighting a whole army by myself, that's not even the worst part. I see all of my friends and parents including Poseidon hung on a wall with brown, rusty chains. It then changes to a seen where I'm fighting LUKE. What he should be dead. Then it shows us with our shirts shredded to the point to where it's like we're not even wearing them. I can see blood dripping from our faces and stomachs, our arms are full of mud and it looks like we got in a fist fight.

" What's that?" I asked completely scared out of my wits.

" That is your future." Poseidon says as Zeus rolls his eyes. My heart drops and won't come back up like an anchor is holding it down. I face towards my mom and Paul.

" Percy... th...that can't be you." Pointing to my future. m
My mom is shedding tears. Poseidon comes up to her.

" Sally may I have a word with you, about this." He says clearing his throat, also leaving me and Paul to an awkward silence.

" Percy." Paul says barely able to talk.

" Yes?" I questioned already knowing what he's gonna ask.

" Whatever he's sending you out to do, don't do it." He finished still looking at the future me. Then Hades got up and walked over to the mist and waved his hand in it. And just like that it was gone.

" Paul it's my father, I'm sure he wouldn't have me go on a quest that would kill me." I finished. The images kept playing in my head. What if this was some kind of crazy quest. Just then my mom came back with Poseidon, he was walking up to me.

" Percy. What you just saw has a bad ending. And I just want to know my son will be safe, so I wanna know of you want to be immortal. I know we've offered this to you before but this is a totally different situation." He said looking down at me. I don't know why but I thought about me being a coward and getting immortality. I decided my answer and a good explanation for it. Although it was stupid but I knew what would be the right choice.

" No. I don't want to not age and watch everyone I love and care about die in front of me. Also it would be cowardly to do so, Luke wasn't immortal. But then again he died." I said thinking about that day he stabbed him own self to save Olympus. A big choice he made. I took out Riptide still in its pen form and shoved it back in my pocket thinking of only the bad times with it. I closed my eyes thinking of all the demigods that died because of Kronos. I shivered from the thought and opened my eyes back up to see Hades walking over to Poseidon and then whispering something onto his ear.

" Are you sure Percy?" He said tugging on his short hair. " It will help you deeply." He finished looking down at the white marble floors standing beneath him.

For some reason it still felt like something was anchoring my heart to the bottom of my stomach. Then the same sharp pain came streaming through my whole body again making to collapse to my knees holding my stomach.

" Percy are you okay?" My mom asked rushing to me. Do I look okay? I tried catching my breath but I just couldn't. It's like I'm burning from the inside out.

" Percy!?!" Poseidon yelled bending down by me. I couldn't even talk, or breath. Help!

" Help him!" Paul and my mom yelled. I didn't hear anything else because the next thing that happened was me blacking out.
