It was almost night time and you were laying on the couch waiting for Calum to get home. He had went to go get food for your shared house because you were out.

You had almost fallen asleep on the couch until you heard the front door open knowing it was calum. You soon heard him walk into the kitchen next to where you were asleep in the living room.

"Hey baby im sorry I woke you" he says putting the groceries away and soon walking over to you. "Mm its okay" you mumble and sit up.

He sits down next to you and holds you. "The guys are coming over in like an hour" he says looking at you.

"Im gonna go get changed then" you smile and kiss him gently. He smiles at you as you get up.

Soon later you come back downstairs and see cal on his phone on the couch.

"Hey bub" you smile and sit down next to him. He smiles back at you and looks back at his phone. He stays quiet for a second and speaks again. "Can me and the guys go out tonight?".

"Obviously cal, you don't need to ask my permission" you giggled and pulled a blanket over yourself. "I just didn't want you to wait up worried for me if I go out" he looks down at you.

"Baby don't be worried about me go have fun you never have a break from work especially with the new album coming up soon" you smiled at him.

He smiled at your words. "I love you" he says kissing you on the forehead. "I love you too cal pal" you giggled knowing he hates that nickname

"Hey!" He smiles and laughs.

Later that night you were alone because calum had went out to some party. It was getting late and you were getting worried but you didn't wanna be annoying and call him or one of the boys.

Soon later you heard the front door open and you knew it was calum so you walked downstairs surprised to see him completely sober and making food.

"Hey babe" you said walking into the kitchen.

"Hi" he smiled. You went over and sat on the empty space on the counter. "I would have made you food if you would have told me you were hungry" you softly smiled.

"Its nearly two in the morning I didn't wanna put stress on you" he said walking over and standing in between your legs.

"Im surprised you didn't drink cal" you said shrugging. "I had a reason" he said holding your hand.

"And that is? You could have cal I woulda helped you and im sure one of the guys coulda drove you home" you said looking up at him. "I know you don't like when I do though and I needed to talk to someone about something" he smiled at you.

"Well anyways im glad you're home did you have fun?" You asked getting off the counter. He nodded and finished making his food.

"M gonna go get ready for bed and lay down come cuddle soon" you smiled as he nodded.

You were almost asleep and you felt the bed dip and arms wrap around you making you turn over.

"Hi cal" you smiled and giggled at him. "Hi sweetheart" he smiled and held you tight.

"So I wanted to ask you something" he said looking down at you. "Go ahead" you smiled up at him.

"Do you wanna come with us when we tour this year?" He says. You nodded happy that you don't have to be away from cal for months again. You kissed him slowly and pulled away after a bit.

"We should probably head to sleep" you say cuddling closer to him. "Mhm" he smiles tiredly and closes his eyes.

You sat there for awhile trying to sleep but you just couldn't. "Cal?" You said quietly just incase he had already fallen asleep. He opened his eyes slowly and looked at you. "Is everything alright baby?" He said tiredly.

"I can't sleep.." you mumbled scared that he'll be upset with you. He sat up slowly and looked at you. "Whats on your mind" he says rubbing your back to try and help tire you.

"I just can't sleep cal" you said not wanting to tell him the thoughts that were keeping you awake

He moved his hand to grab another blanket for you seeing that you were cold and you flinched when he moved his hand making him frown.

"Baby you're scared of me?" he said scared he did something to upset you. He could tell your breathing increased and you stuttered when you answered him. "I-its not y-you.." you sighed and tried to not cry.

He laid down again and pulled you close to his chest and you lightly grabbed onto the shirt he was wearing.

"What happened baby?" He says pulling the extra blanket over both of you. You let tears fall as you spoke. "M-my ex cal h-he hurt m-me" you said trying to not break down or upset calum.

He almost started to cry hearing what you said. "What did he do baby? Are you okay?" He says wiping your tears with his thumb. "H-he used to h-hurt m-me when we were t-together" you paused before you continued "I-im scared of people c-cal" you said finishing what you were saying.

Calum sighed holding you closer. "I'd never hurt you baby, He's not here to hurt you anymore. "

"I-i can't st-stop thinking about it t-though it's sc-scary" you said crying still. "It won't ever happen again i'm here to protect you nobody will ever lay a hand on you again" he said starting to rub your back again which calmed you down a lot.

You nodded and started to calm down slowly. A little while later you had finally calmed down and felt better after telling calum everything.

"I promise, nobody will ever hurt you ever again baby" he says. You nodded and spoke "I didn't want to upset you".

"It's okay baby, you think you can sleep now?" He said just wanting you to be happy and feel better. You nodded and cuddled up to him.

"Thank you" you said quietly. "Always" he smiles holding you.
