Chapter 31

After weeks of battle everything has been hell for us. The worst thing is that I keep seeing the same vision I had before now every night. The vision was about betrayal. And my head began to hurt for an unknown reason, it's like someone is trying to call for my help but I couldn't understand them. Now I'm with master windu and anakin as mace windu explains to us.

"The droid have overrun our maid production facility it won't be long before the separatists take anaxes,compermising reserve fleet" he said.

Then anakin and I looked to see Cody and rex walking towards us. "Pardon the interruptions, General but Rex here has a good theory on why we keep, Uh....losing."

"Please captain." Mace widu tells Rex wanting to listen what he has to say.

"The droid army uses analytics to pradict our strategy." Rex said "the first time we use a tactic, it's very effective. The next, less so. In fact the more we use a certain tactic, the less effective it becomes. They learn our tendencies and use that data against us. To counter them, we're constantly working out ways to way our attack."

"But the losses we are experiencing on anaxes are not commonplaces." I spoke

"Exactly. The counter attacks are so specific, it's my strategy the droids know my playbook."

"My concern is that Rex is one of our best if the droids can learn to defeat him we may all be vulnerable." Cody said

"What do you propose" mace windu asked.

"Let Rex and me take a small squad behind enemy lines. There's a separatists cyber center which relays all battlefield intel to their command ship. We're going to find anything, it will be there"

"You you think it will help turn this fight around, get going, and bring Commander wise with you. She might need a bit of fresh air after all she's going through. "

"I don't think it would be nessasary master" I said "understand your concern but I'm perfectly fine and..." I couldn't finish when my head started to hurt and I was about to faint but anakin caught me in time.

"Gamora" anakin spoke " I know what you're going through but you need to go with them, you've been getting these headaches ever since you told us this vision . Please go with them." I sighed and nodded as anakin let's me go. "And Rex" anakin looks to Rex "was there anything else?"

Rex looks at anakin like he was hiding something "no, General" then he turns to leave."

I walked to the clone bedroom to find Rex sitting down and looking at a picture of him, me, Cody, even, fives and echo. Every day I miss those two arc troopers ever sinc they died. Fives most of all. Rex and I have common things when it comes tho those two. He loved echo and I loved fives as a brother.

"Rex" I sat beside him putter my head on his shoulder for support.

""Fives, echo, and before that hevy. There's so many troopers gone." He tells me

"I know, not all folk understand, sometimes in war, it's hard to be the one that survives"

He turns to face me "that's what I'm worried about"

"What do you mean?" I asked in confusion.

"I didn't tell the generals. "

"Tell the generals what?" Cody asked walking in.

"They might think I'm crazy" Rex said "In fact, you two might think I'm crazy."

"What is it?" I asked.

"I think echos alive."

My eyes widened to what I am hearing. "That's not possible" Cody said in disbelief "he died at the citadel"
