Chapter 32

After we returned to the base we told anakin that Rex and i found out that echo is still alive. He was shocked to hear that but still in disbelief.

Now we are about to head for our next missions to find echo, ever since we found out he's still alive I began to worry more about him now that the separatists got him.

Hunter ran up to rex anakin and I "word is the General staff isn't completely behind this mission" he said

"I admit the idea that echo is still alive is a long shot" Rex spoke

"I'm sure the council will approve the mission. Just remember the primary goal is to learn how the separatists are predicting our strategy, wether it's echo behind or not" anakin tells hunter.

However hunter is still not convinced "we'll, if you want my opinion, sounds like a trap, but me and the boys will tag along anyway if only to say 'I told you so"

I chuckled "I knew he's gonna say something like that. But on on a serious note just make sure you're ready if we get the go- ahead from General kenobi"

"If you're certain he'll approve the mission, why wait? Lets get going." Rex is too excited jut to.

I hit his armour "first, we have that thing to do"

Rex looks at me in confusion "Uh, what thing?"

I looked to I gave him a quick glance at anakin "you know"

Then Rex realizes what I'm saying "we don't have time for that, sir"

Anakin glances at him "yes we do"

Hunter looks at us awkwardly "we'll, I'll just let you three sort this out. I'll be waiting on the ship with the rest of the team." Hunter leave the three of us alone.

"Come on rex. We're late as it was" anakin tells him as we head to the lines bed place.

Rex stops in front of the door as he gives anakin his helmet than I walked up to rex and gave him a quick kiss on the lips as anakin and I walked inside.

A look to anakin and see he put the hologram on the floor.

"She's gonna be convinced" I told him.

Anakin chuckles "she'll get over it" then he turns out the hologram as a picture of Padamé opens up.

"You're late again" she said with a smile on her face.

"Told you" I told him hitting his back shoulder.

Anakin chuckles then looks at Padamé "Padamé I'm so sorry. We didn't anticipate the outer rim sieges would last this long."

"That would be why they call it a siege, anakin " she said.

"I know, I just thought that I—"

"He thought he could bring a swift end to conflict single-handedly but I told him that's not gonna work" I told her.

Padamé chuckles "anakin, Gamora, what you're both doing is important. The republic needs you both on the front lines just as they need my voice in the senate" then we heard a bang coming from Rex that's the signalthat Obiwan is coming "what is it?" She asked

I sighed "obi wan is coming" I crossed my arms and looked down.

"Gamora, you know that's not it. There's something else" she looks curiously at me.
