Chapter 18 Hospital

Pyrrha's pov

Me and the team are currently reviewing for the test tomorrow when someone knocks at the door.

Nora:"nose goes"

Pyrrha:"nose goes"

Ren:"nose goes"

Jaune:"you gotta be kidding me"

Jaune gets up from his bed and opens the door.

Ozpin:"mr.Arc is ms.L/n

Jaune:"Pyrrha ozpin is here to see you"

The headmaster? I get out of bed and walk to the door and see ozpin with his emotionless face as always.

Ozpin:"ahhh ms.Nikos can I speak to you in private"

Did I do something? I walk out of the room and ozpin closes the door, he starts to walk down the corridor and I follow him.

Pyrrha:"sir did I do something?"

Ozpin:"no..."

His pause bothers me and leads my mind to the worst.

Ozpin:"your father is currently in the vale hospital, he was attacked inside his..."

Before he can finish his sentence I bolt past him and run to the docks, it's still daylight outside and there's a airship waiting there, I get on and it takes the pilot only minutes to leave from beacon. He better be alright I can't lose him! I feel the tears going down my face... I can't hide my pain.

Third pov

Ozpin turns back around to team jnprs room, he knocks on the door and this time Nora answers "hello mr headmaster" "I'm here to inform your team that ms.Nikos is currently on her way to the hospital to see her father, I would suggest that you and team rwby go to comfort her" Nora face becomes serious and tells her team. Ozpin leaves back to his office and sits in his chair, the sound of the gears fill the room "make it through this y/n... for all our sakes"

Pyrrha arrives at the hospital and looks panicked "nurse!" A woman behind the counter looks up at her "mam what do you need?" "A...a patient, his name is y/n l/n" the woman types away at her computer fast and looks back up at Pyrrha "he's in the er right now, you'll have to wait to see him" Pyrrha flinches at the word wait because every second that she's is, is another second of uncertainty but she understands and sits in a chair. People come in and out of the hospital before the nurse walks towards Pyrrha "he's in room twenty, go down the double doors on the right and you'll see it" "thank you" Pyrrha gets up and follows what she said, she looks at every doors number 1, 2, 3 she keeps going 10, 12, her mind races as the numbers get higher 17, 18, 19 and 20, she stops at the door and stares at it she take a deep breathe and opens it. The heavy door slowly closes cutting off all sound from outside the room, the sound of a ventilator machine helping y/n breathe fills the room as well as others. Pyrrha walks and sees her father on the bed being kept alive by the machines connected to him, the sight breaks her, she goes to her father's side but she falls to her knees crying.

Team rwby and jnpr both just arrived at the hospital, the nurse looks up and see that there wearing the same uniform as Pyrrha "room twenty, there can only be two people in there at a time" both teams look at her and follow her instructions also. They arrive at the door and look at each other.

Ruby:"who should go in?"

Jaune:"I should"

Weiss:"why's that"

Jaune:"because I'm closes to her"

Blake:"how do you know that"

Nora:"what about you weiss"

Ruby:"she's to cold"

Weiss:"hey!"

Ren:"I think yang should go in"

All the team members look at him in surprise hell even yang did not expect that. 

Yang:"why me"

Ren:"you looked in thought and plus I did not like jaunes comment, while it does make sense jumping quick to that comment knowing that she is vulnerable is questioning, now does anyone disagree with me"

They look at him with even more surprise but no one speaks up, not even jaune. Yang listens to him and opens the door and walks in she rounds the small corner and sees Pyrrha on her knees crying, she's rushes over and wraps her arms around her, seeing the best fighter she knows on her knees and crying was heartbreaking to her. "Pyrrha I'm so sorry this happened to you" Pyrrha sobs soften as she looks at yang "thank you" her voice is weak only hurting yang even more, yang couldn't lie to herself, it's not just because Pyrrha is the strongest fighter she knows it's also because of her own past, Pyrrha is crying over her father, and that's something yang could never do, her own father abused both her and ruby and while she does not know the heartbreak that Pyrrha is feeling right now she knows the feeling of yearning for a real father and even now she still yearns for that feeling. "I can't lose him" "I know Pyrrha I know" she tightens her grip on Pyrrha to which she eases into it "I can't know what your feeling but know that I'm here for you" "thank you" yang gently starts to bring Pyrrha up believing that a strong person like her she shouldn't be on her knees "I know we've only hung out a few times but I'm always here if you ever need anything" Pyrrha turns around and looks into yangs eyes, she can see the sincerity and this time she decided to go in for a hug, they stay like that for a couple seconds before they break it. Pyrrha walks to her fathers side and gently touches his arm "please dad make it through this, I need you" she brings her head down to his arm and a tear falls onto it.
