Hope's POV: Settling back in has been difficult. All of my things were completely gone, and no one remembered me. How can they all just forget me? That's not possible. I've also have been avoiding Josie and Penelope lately. I just don't know how to talk to them, especially Josie. How do I tell the one person I've know basically all my whole life that I'm back?

If that wasn't bad enough, I felt like I was being watched. I feel like if I let my guard down, then Triad might get the upper hand again, and that can't happen. They may not remember me, but I don't know if I can forgive myself if anything were to happen to them.

Shaking my head, I walked down to the old mill to train. I know I could go to the gym, but ever since I've gotten back, there was something about the old mill that calmed me down. When you're in the gym, or even in the halls, you can't exactly hear yourself think. Coming out here is like an escape from-

I screamed as my feet came out from under me before my head hit the floor. I groaned, looking up at the figure above me. "What was that for", I asked in annoyance before my vision cleared. A Triad soldier sporting a black mask stood over me silently, causing my breath to get caught in my throat.

I knew them.

"What do you want? You got me, okay", I got out shakily as the ceiling above me cracked. The soldier walked toward me, causing me to panic. Attempting to pull my arm free, sweat trailed down the side of my face as my eyes squinted painfully. Giving up with a pained sob, I coughed as the smoke reached my lungs.

Standing over me, I held my breath as they bent over, pushing on the debris that my arm was trapped under. "No. No, stop. Stop", I screamed, tears filling my eyes as I felt the bones in my arm crunch. Breathing heavily, I collapsed against the wreckage behind me as the edges of my vision darkened. Moving my arm out from under the debris, they carefully lay it down in my lap before backing away from me as a relieved cry left my lips. Holding my bloodied arm close to my chest, I looked up at them exhaustedly as my eyes burned with unshed tears.

"Thank you...", I whispered, looking them over cautiously. "B-but you need to leave", I told them, causing them to tilt their head to the side. "If you mean me no harm, then you'll go", I said, my voice shaking from a mixture of fear and pain. "Leave", I ordered, my eyes burning intensely as they stared at me blankly. "What...", I got out as I felt my body leave the ground. Letting out a sharp gasp, I felt my body collide the wall as the roof caved in.

I quickly scrambled to my feet, trying to put as much space between us as possible. "You...what do you want", I demanded, trying to sound strong, but it was useless.

They tilted their head silently before an emotionless laugh erupted from their throat, causing me to flinch. "I can't tell you how long I've waited for this", they laughed, before I was sent flying into the wall by unknown force. "You know, I've spent years trying to figure out how to take you out. From explosions....to an ambush, but this...", they laughed cruelly. "This is much better. Hearing you cry yourself to sleep at night, ignoring your friends", they stated.

"That was you. You took their memories", I growled out as my eyes glowed brightly.

"Oh, trust me. It wasn't easy", they sighed, shaking their head.

"Why? Why are you doing this", I asked, before I was slapped across the face.

"Don't play games with me, Mikaelson", they growled out in disgust as the ground shook slightly.

"Look, I'm sorry, okay. Whatever I did-"

"Sorry?! You're always sorry", they yelled angrily as the building practically vibrated. "What you did...", they got out before screaming in frustration, kicking the wall roughly. "You literally destroyed my life", they breathed out as they're voice broke.
