Lizzie's POV: I silently watched Hope leave the room before I got up to go to the bathroom. Closing the door, I looked into the mirror with my mask gripped in my hands. "Who did this to you", Hope's voice echoed through my head as I braced myself against the sink.

I sighed in frustration as I tore another note to shreds. "Bad time", Ryan Clarke asked with an arrogant smirk, causing me to narrow my eyes.
"What", I snapped angrily.
"I just wanted to let you know that the troops are set up to storm the Salvatore School", he stated, folding his arms behind his back.
"No harm comes to anyone. Is that clear", I told him firmly. "I don't want any innocent kids dying", I stated, looking down at the shredded note.
"And the Mikaelson child", he asked.
"Mr. Clarke, what are you implying", I glared.
"All that trouble to find this girl-"
"Is my business", I growled out as my eyes glowed slightly.
"Noted. My apologies", he said before walking from the room.
Leaning against the wall, I attempted to ignore the guilt threatening to overcome me before the office door slammed shut, causing me to raise my eyebrows. "Veronica", I questioned, before my eyes drifted over her shoulder to look at Burr.

Inhaling shakily, I scanned over the scar across my right eye before flickering toward the more fresher cuts and bruises lining my face. Shaking my head, I walked out of the bathroom and out of the infirmary stubbornly. I walked down the hall, attempting to find a way out before a loud ringing sound filled my ears, causing me to look around in alarm as students filled the halls.
"Hey, are you alright", a young boy asked.
"What's going on", I asked him quietly. "Is something wrong", I asked, looking around cautiously.
"Why would there be anything wrong", he frowned.
"Because of the bells", I said, rolling my eyes.
"Yeah...excuse me", he chuckled awkwardly before quickly walking off.
"Splendid, even the people here are completely useless", I grumbled, storming down the hall before bumping into someone.
"Lizzie", someone exclaimed before wrapping their arms around my legs.

Penelope's POV: The bell rung, causing me to sigh in relief as I quickly collected my things. "You too", Kaleb asked.
"Yeah", I chuckled. "If Mr. Williams said anything else about self-control...", I muttered, walking from the the classroom.
"His lectures drives everyone crazy", Kaleb snorted.
"See you later", I smiled, shaking my head as I made my way back toward my dorm.
"Lizzie", I heard Pedro shout before launching himself at someone's legs.
"Hey, little man, who's your friend", I smiled.
"You...", they breathed, causing me to freeze.
