A being known as the most deadly creature known to have existed, one that rules all others as though they were little more than ants.

Their mighty forms erupt with the power they hold. Enormous bodies that cause even the fiercest of warriors to entertain the thought of retreat. Claws sharper than steel, with a force behind them enough to shake the earth. Wings able to cause tornadoes with a simple flicker. Red scales impossible to piece by any normal means.

And finally a head which emanates pride. The mouth filled with razor sharp teeth, able to tear through human flesh as easily as butter, and a blazing inferno hidden behind its breath.

A dragon.

A mythical creature of legend, said to be created by the gods themself.

A woman clad in elaborate black armor stood before this very creature. Her sword held in her left hand as she examined the beast. Her eyes glimmering with a spark of battle.

From the hilt of her blade arose a purple flame, encompassing the steel.

"It's about time you damn monster!"

She raised her sword toward the head of the beast.

"Now show me why you're a legend!!"

She rushed into the range of this creature, facing the flare it breathes out head on. Her body seemingly unaffected by the tremendous heat.

She leapt into the air, holding her blade with both hands as she felt gravity fling her toward the beast's neck. In a moment she would claim its head as her own-

Thud.

In an instant, the women clad in armor had been sent into the wall, cracking the rock of the cave all around her.

The dragon had taken that opportunity to raise its claw and slam it into her.

A small trickle of blood left her lip as she once again arose out of the wall.

Maybe leaving myself open like that... wasn't the best idea...

Her eyes overcome with the red of blood as she took hold of her weapon once more. This time intent on eliminating the beast.

A sound came from the creatures mouth, almost as if it were laughing at the weakness of its opponent.

"Now that's your final mistake."

Her red eyes glared at the beast, emitting a sense of bloodlust stronger than an animal protecting her own child.

She wanted to kill it.

No.

She needed to.

Her appetite would not be satisfied until she had ended this legendary creature's life.

Once again, she had charged into battle. Almost as if she hadn't learned a thing.

Hah! Don't get cocky you overgrown cockroach!

The dragon looked nothing like a cockroach, but to her, this creature held no more importance to her than that of an insignificant insect.

Her blade once again flared with a purple radiance before her movement became that of lightning.

The fire of the dragon's lungs layering atop itself as it tried to burn her away, yet her body hadn't seemed to mind. It was simply a warm shower to her.

The creature's eyes hadn't the speed to see where she had gone. Before being able to spot the warrior, it had seen its own body, devoid of its head.

Covered in blood, her right hand held the head of the vicious creature. She claimed her prize.

She had slain the legendary foe, exceeding its power by an unparalleled amount.

It merely took her an instant to remove the head of one initially believed to be immortal.

She let herself fall down into the puddle of dragon blood, a beautiful lake of red, oozing out from the dragon's neck like an elegant fountain. She took a small amount of blood in her hand and slowly dropped it into her mouth, drinking it.

"Ahhh~ this is the life~"

Her face exposing a smile, one that radiated her happiness at the conclusion of yet another adventure.

Another victory in this new world.
