The cacophony of chaos erupts from afar. Steel clashing upon steel. Men and women losing every drop of their voice in a desperate cry.
The screech of battle.
Akemi's ears twitch in response as she jolts her eyes open, seeing a mass of flame from a distance, in contrast with the blue skies of the morning. It lay around the area of the village.
"W... what's going on...?"
Just awakening, her sense of the situation had become distraught. She raised her right hand and gently rubbed her eyelids, a massage which had become something of a ritual to her.
Once a few moments had passed and her mind had been awakened, she once again pointed her eyes towards the sounds aching her ear.
She had vision sharper than an eagle, being able to see the general shapes of those within that village. It was one of many passive abilities she'd gained through her multitude of adventures, [Enhanced sense]. This was said to sharpen all five of her senses above the understanding of a human level.
Within the game, it simply alerted her if a target was within a set amount of distance, but once this world had become real, it seemed to take a different effect.
Her eyes, ears, nose, they all seemed to have increased in effectiveness. Though the senses of taste and touch, looked to have not been affected.
Thus, even from her current distance to the village, she could smell and hear, and even slightly see, what had been happening.
The blood splashing on steel. Sweat and fear. It was as clear to her as her own hand.
"Oh... well I guess I should help out. [Flight]."
In a simple motion, she had begun lifting off the ground. Her feet slowly floating up. It was a spell which gave one the ability of flight, as the name implied.
But for Akemi, this spell was something of a cheat. Through a passive ability known as [Draconic Evolution], she had gained many abilities, one of which was the use of flight with no cost in mana.
Within a moment, she had appeared above the village. The scene before her fully uncovered itself
Knights in steel armor holding swords made of the same material, they seemed to possess an abundance of steel in this era. Though the swords of these men were blessed by a holy incantation. Akemi was a master in all things holy, investing many of her classes in those of Paladin.
She was clearly able to understand the use of the divine within this confrontation of men.
Their blades coated with the red stain of blood, belonging to those who hadn't known the ways of warfare, the villagers.
Covered in clothing which wouldn't even be able to sell at a market in the modern area, they wore no armor nor held weapons, but simply ran. It was all they could do. Hoping that some miracle may appear before them, saving them from this unfair slaughter.
Fortunately for them, this very miracle appeared above them, in the shape of a woman coated in black armor.
She held a steel sword in her left hand, a dagger made of the same material lay sheathed on her opposite side.
"Hmm... What should my story be in this world? I should probably think of a reason for why I just appeared here. Well, I'll figure that out when it comes to it. [Holy Radiant]!"
An aura gold in radiance formed around her as she pieced into the Earth, slicing an armored man clean in two.
Ahh, I've got the perfect story. And even if it doesn't work...
