You read the title, you know where this is going.
Bad ideas rule humanity if even a little bit, fear and greed are tossed in there too, but sometimes you get an urge, and you know it's awful and that you should not be doing it and you do it anyway. Be it, taking another drink when you're already drunk as a skunk, taking another bite of the pizza when you're too close to puking, going to a place where you know you will be hurt emotionally or physically, maybe even mentally, and going to said place. Maybe it's even talking to a person you know is not in your best interest to have around.
Why do we have bad ideas though?
I think it mostly stems from impulse and the fact that when we're at an extremely desperate point in our lives we just give up.
We want something, and we go after it, no matter what it takes. Determination? Maybe. Selfishness? For sure. Bad Idea? Eeeeeeh, depends on what it is.
But that comes with anything. If we want something we go to get it, and that in itself is a tad selfish. But not all selfishness has to be negative, it depends on the situation and what it is you do, that can be majorly selfish and impact more than just you, or it can be something small like treating yourself to some ice-cream every now and then.
I don't know, just a thought. My Bad Idea hasn't backfired yet, so we'll see which way the wind blows.
