Chapter 13: Broken

Nolan prov:

I slowly gradually made my way up the attic stairs pain shooting up my legs with every step

It feels like years are flying by with the amount of time it's taking me to get up the stairs but I really can't help it I'm sorry

But every step up forwards felt like it could be my last and every time I try to breath in it feels as though everything inside me is going to Collapse and break down into an empty pit of nothingness Inside of me

Eventually I see the attic door in view I once again try to sigh in relief but a burning pain shoots up body

Which Makes my body shake more intensely then before and I let out a small whimper of pain my hands holding onto the walls for dear life

Without me realising it the door quietly squeaked open and a ball of fire poked her head out of the crack of the open door

As if Realising who it was she quickly scurried over to help

I'm trying to breath In and out but nothing is working the pain won't leave me

That is until I feel two little hands reach up and touch my arm but I violently flinch away making the small girl fall to the floor with a small thud

She let out a small cry and looked up through the darkness at me

"Nolie?"charity whispers

Suddenly realising what I've done I forget about the growing pain inside of me and immediately pic charity up and run quietly into the attic

Charity's arms tighten around my neck as she stuffs her face into it letting out a soft cry

"H-h-he h-hurt y-y-ou b-b-bad" she sobbed into my neck

I instantly ran my fingers throw her hair to comfort her

"I'll be fine don't worry char" I said sitting down on the Mattress listening to the springs creek at the sudden weight

She curled into my chest and soon her breathing evened out and I can hear soft snores coming from my lap

I lay down on the mattress with her still glued to my chest just staring at the ceiling trying too stop all the bad thoughts from braking throw but I'm just so exhausted that they all brake throw the barrier I was trying to build

Making me shake uncontrollably and drown in my Silent tears

I just lay there staring out the small window for what felt like hours watching through my tears as the sky changed from the moon and the starts to the foggy morning sky

I have to go to school today I can't miss anymore if I do I'll be behind and they might call miss David's and I can't let that happen she'll freak out and she'll she'll make m-Marcus d-do.... I just can't miss another day !

And charity should be around kids her aged they'll get suspicious if she's doesn't show up

Wait we should probably start to get ready !!!

Forgetting about a little someone I shot up

Causing a small groan and a soft whack on my arm

"Oh my god sorry char I forgot you were there" I said in shock as i turn to her running my hand through her knotted hair

"Is sh-alight"charity says before yawning and rubbing her eyes with her little fists
