chapter 3: Not so Invisible now

It was lunch so I was walking down the corridor to interested in the book I just took out of the library to relies what corridor I went down.

I was heading for the bleaches so I could sit and start the books I took out.

But me being my stupid self I walked down the popular corridor where all the popular people hang out at.

I tried to walk past unnoticed reading my book but I did not see some ones leg and I fell face first with all my books flying every where I tried to get up but my ribs hurts way to much I could not move.

I whimpered out in pain

when a hand came to help me up but I flinched away not expecting it

I looked up into the most beautiful ocean blue eyes and perfect dusty blond hair

I blushed realising I was staring at him and excepted his hand.

I was pulled up very fast causing my rips to flare up in an overload of pain.

I gripped my rips gritting my teeth to hold in a groan of pain.

The boy gave me back my books and I took off running to the toilets.

As I ran the pain just got worse it felt like my bones were trying to break free from my body.

I reached the toilets and locked the door behind me.

I made sure no one was in the toilets. Then took my shirt of and looked in the mirror.

I unrapped the bandage around my rips.

Oh my god

I look terrible

The bone is sticking out

FUCK!!!

I grabbed my bag a pulled out some painkillers I took from the medicine cabinet without miss David's  knowing.

I swallowed the tablet dry and got out new bandages for my ribs.

I winced in pain when I put pressure on the bone that is sticking out.

"ghaggg!!"I groan in pain when I tied it up tight

It's the only way it will heal I kept telling myself over and over.

I grabbed my bag and unlocked the Toilet door

I walked cautiously to the bleaches breathing heavy trying not to scream in pain.

The last bell of the day rang and I slowly made my way out the school making sure not to trip or bump into people as my rips were on the verge of collapsing.

I was half way to the orphanage when I heard small heavy footed runny from behind me I turn around keeping my head down to see.

It was Charity one of the younger girls from the orphanage.

Her red hair is blowing in the wind like fire as she ran to me out of breath.

"Nolie!!" She cheered as she walks by my side grabbing my hand In hers.

She took quite a liking into me and well she is very shy and talks to non of the other kids or anyone for that matter but she talks to ME .

Charity is one of the sweetest girls and helps me get through a lot with out her even knowing .

She's like my little sister I always wish I had .

*****flash back*****

Miss David's has just finished beating me I had broke a plate because one of the other kids thought it would be funny to push me.

I was curled up on the floor of the kitchen my own blood everywhere crying in pain when I felt a little tug on my top.

I look to my left to see a small ,skinny ,freckled, fiery red haired little girl about 4 year old she had tears running down her face looking at me.

"S-she d-did I-it again" the 4 year old hiccup out over her tears

I was shocked why was one of the other kids talking to me ME! of all people

I looked at her with a sad smile and nodded

She sobbed more

I subconsciously pulled her into my lap ignoring all the pain and hugged  her.

"A-am okay its all right" I said stroking her hair

***End of flash back***

We walked hand in hand as charity talked about kindergarten and all the drawings she had done for me but forgot them

Once we got to the orphanage charity stop talking and let go of my hand.

She gave me a sad smile then ran into the orphanage before me.

I walked in with my head down and went straight for the attic.

I was in the attic for about an hour or so doing school work before miss David's court me and punished me.

When I got interrupted by charity running through my door crying with a bruise forming on her cheek.

She ran to me and jumped into my arms I picked her up and got up to shut the door making sure miss Davids did not follow.

And sat charity back on my mattress kneeling in front of her.

I wiped the tears with my thumb stroking her wild red hair behind her ear .

"What happed chari ?"I asked concern rapped in my voice

"M-miss d-David's S-slapped M-me" charity sobbed louder and hugged into my chest causing pain to flow though my body but I ignored it

"Why did she?!" I said louder getting angry that miss David's hit charity my little innocent charity

"I-i spilt j-juice on t-the carpet" charity squeaked out dropping her head like she was expecting me to be angry with her.

I squeezed her tight against me " What you did was an ascendent miss David's  should have never have hit you" I greeted though my teeth

Charity sniffed into my top then yawned quietly rubbing her eyes with her tiny fist.

I scooped her up and     Tucked her into my fin blanket I have on my mattress and watched as she looked up at me with tired eyes.

"I-i love you Nolie" charity said pushing her self up and kissed my cheek then she fell back and fell asleep.

I smiled down at the sleeping angel.

I shuffled back to the end of the mattress and continued with my homework and planning for the tutoring which I really don't want to do.

Miss David's  would kill me if I am late back.

I usually walk back with charity.

And well I can't leave charity here alone even if it's for an hour look what happed today and I was here.

Miss davids has noticed how close me and charity are so now she is taking her anger out on charity as well I can't let this happen to charity.
