Chapter 14: Is he nothing?

Lewis prov:

Family night went well I went the rest of the evening without seeing her or having a panic attack which is always a plus

Liam and Luke helped by distracting me without even realising it and dad and Claire's  cooking  was amazing as always and listening to Wills story's from the hospital and Baileys little singing and dance shows were both very entertaining

Now here I lay in my bed not wanting to get up for the day but I know I'm going to have to

I keep thinking about him....

whether Nolan will be in today and if I'll get to see him

And I won't know the answer to any of this if I lay here all day

And with that thought i pulled myself out of bed and pushing myself to get ready for the day ahead of me

With one thing on my mind only
that was The need to get to school early to see if I can catch him today

I actually got ready in what feels like record time and rushed down stairs too be hit with a luscious sent of breakfast cooking from the kitchen

I had this really strong urged to scare my dad so that's exactly what I did

I quietly creeped up to my dad and pushed down on both his shoulders with my hands and screamed making my dad shout in fright and quickly spin round and hit me full force in the face with the spatula which is covered in burning food

"OW!"I shouted immediately holding onto my burning cheek with a pained expression

God I didn't think that was gonna happen !!!

"Oh my god Lewis don't do that!!"my dad laughed grabbing a hold of my face in this hands checking out my red cheek

"Ow dad stop that hurts"I groan when he prods at my burnt skin

"Sorry bud you shouldn't have done that while I was cooking.."he trails off looking at my cheek "it looks kinda sore let me get you some ice"he says heading off towards the freezer

I nodded still shocked at his reaction and slowly sat on a bar stool

He came back a few minutes later with an ice pack in his hand and a worried look

"Here we go" he said warily placing it slowly on my cheek making me hiss in pain "keep that on to reduce the swelling and pain once the pain is gone we'll see if we need to wrap you up and give you some painkillers yeah"he said letting me hold the ice pack as he turns to the food

I guess I won't be heading out any time soon so I guess I will have to catch him at lunch maybe

With that thought I only just realised the smell was bacon and cheese omelettes

Yum! My dads omelettes are the best

"So is there any reason why your up and ready so early?"my dad asks curiously turning around now slightly

"Well I um-I was up and well I thought I get ready and hang Down here with you for once before I head out to school"i lied scratching the back of my head hoping I did a good enough job so he wouldn't ask more questions

"Sure you did"my dad chuckled seeing right though my lies I swear he could read me like a book but he didn't push anymore and continued with the food which I'm very grateful for

I sat there quietly and sighed I thought about what was going to say to him if I caught him or would I just stare

Nah it be creepy if I just stare at him but I spoke to him I could scare him either way
