PoV: Mighty The Armadillo

"Why did you shout sure out loud?!" I groaned, "I didnt want to be with everyone. Just him."

"Sorry, I just thought it might be nice for you to hang out with him," Ray replied, "Sonic hasn't seemed to notice you as more than a friend yet... you yelled his name like ten times during the battle."

"I know it was stupid! I just wanted him to look my way. And I called his name three times. I only destroyed three robots. Sonic took care of the rest before I even blinked. He's just... so..."

"I know, I know. You love him," Ray sighed, "How come you don't just tell him?"

"I told him last month," I answered.

"What did he say?"

"Sonic..." I walked up to him it was the first time we had been alone in a while. Now was my chance. He was picking a flower, "Sonic. I love you!"

"Did you say something?" He looked back at me.

"Uh... y-yeah... I love you..."

  His smile faded, "I think I just heard Amy..."

"Amy?" I looked around.

"Sonic!" She was coming this way.

"I have to go now. Bye Mighty!" Sonic took off.

"That's what happened... more or less..." I sighed.

"Amy ruined it for you again huh?" Ray handed me a glass of water.

"Yeah... She shows up at the worst times," I laid back and Ray turned on the TV.

  I guess I'll have to try and get his attention tomorrow.

  I went to bed, I wondered what was going on in Sonic's mind right now.

  Sonic wasn't home when Ray and I went to visit the next day. Tails was home though.

"Sonic? You just missed him. Hes on his morning run," Tails explained, "You know he always runs before breakfast."

"Right," Ray said, "Can we hang out here until he gets back?"

"I'm actually going to clean my lab," Tails replied.

"I can help," Ray and Tails ended up heading inside. I decided to wait for Sonic outside of the house. Soon, I was met with Knuckles.

"Hey," I greeted him.

"Hey, you're here early. Sonic won't let be done with his run for five minutes," Knuckles said.

"I thought we could hang out again that's all," I felt the tension between us. He was after something.

"I was kinda hoping to take Sonic somewhere today," Knuckles said, "The movie it's going anywhere."

"The movies huh? Won't Sonic get bored of sitting around?" I said.

"He actually loves movies. He always gets excited for them," Knuckles replied.

"I didn't know that," I figure Sonic would like to be more active.

"Well you just met him after all. You can't know everything," Knuckles sat down on the step with me.

"What else does he like?" I asked.

  I'm glad Knuckles is his friend. He can help me get to know Sonic.

"Why are you so curious all of a sudden?" He stopped answering my questions.

"He's my leader. Why wouldn't I want to get to know him better?"

"Really? Well he's taken. Try your hardest but someone else has their eyes of him."

"Amy doesn't scare me."

"I never said it was Amy."

"..." it's not Amy then- "I dont plan on losing."

"I don't either."

"Lose what?" Sonic was walking towards us. Bags in his hands.

"Nothing, just a little competition," Knuckles smiled.

"You guys testing your strength again? Just don't get beat up like last time. I'll haven't bought more bandages yet," he put one hand of bags down to open the door.

"Let me help you with that," I took the bags he put down and helped him carry them inside.

"Thanks," he took them from me and up them down. He opened the fridge, which looked empty, and started putting away food. He had gone grocery shopping.

  That didn't worry me. What worried me now was that Knuckles was my rival.
  
  
PoV: Tails

"I hope you're serious about this," I stopped cleaning after listening to Ray talk about Mighty.

"We're both serious, that's why we want tour help," he said. I want Sonic to fall in love with Mighty," he pleaded, "So please help me."

"I can't do that," I started cleaning again.

"Why not?" He didn't know, but now he would.

"I'm helping Knuckles get Sonic to fall in love with him first."

"I see... You know Mighty is going to get him first. He's already working to get Sonic attention."

"I wouldn't be so sure. Knuckles has know Sonic longer. He already has the advantage."

"We'll then well just have to see who wins."

"I guess so."

  I'm gonna help Knuckles win.

"I bought cookies, you guys want some?" Sonic came in. He was back from his run.

"Yeah! That would be great," we answered. Sonic left to go get the cookies.

"This isn't over," Ray glared.

"Oh I know its not over."

  Not over by a long shot.
